Unable to Slot Soul Drain

The rest of my melee AOE's wont go into Soul Drain. I had all but one. took me forever to get them and now it wont let me slot the last one. I built my whole build around slotting for this power now it wont let me put in the last one.

Is it by chance a Unique that's already slotted elsewhere?

It seems instead of nerfing the power they changed it from Melee AOE to Ranged AOE. now I got 5 slotted and i cant slot the last IO from the set because it's now changed the damage type. If I respec I'll loose the other 5 IO slots as well.

Ah I see. That's unfortunate. Was the last bonus one you really wanted?

Yup, that's what happened. The power got changed. You can keep the now incorrect IOs in there but won't be able to add more. And if you ever respec you won't be able to put any of them in there.

Upside is that you can sell them and then buy a set with similar set bonuses that will now go in.

Actually if we're talking the change from Soul Drain to Spirit Drain in the Dark pool for Corruptors and Defenders you lose the set bonuses when keeping the old set there, but keep the enhancement values. So chances are you've already lost the +recharge set bonus and whatever else. 

 

My DP/Kin has, I assume, the same Oblit in there but when it changed I lost the melee defence. Posted about it at the time of the change multiple times in the beta forums but the devs never acknowledged it. 

 

Ended up just going with 3 Artillery and a load of procs and using it as another AoE attack.
