Ultimo Posted April 17 Posted April 17 So, I've been trying to make a character whose main power is blasts from his eyes, like Cyclops (or Homelander, or any other character whose powers emanate from their eyes). Unfortunately, there aren't many powers that come from the eyes. Many of the Psychic powers come from the head, at least, but they're all PSYCHIC damage, and have none of the effects of other types of power (knocks, debuffs, etc., depending on the power). My suggestion is to create alternate animations for other blast sets, so the blasts come from the head/eyes. Most of the animations are already in the game, I can't imagine it would be TOO hard to use the psychic blast animations (for example), but have the energy blasts come from higher up on the model. 2
FupDup Posted April 17 Posted April 17 (edited) An issue to contend with is that the existing eye beam and head-psi powers have specific animation time durations but there's a pretty wide variety of different animation times out there for the various blast powers. We need to match them up exactly or things would look/feel wonky. If I weren't lazy I would put to together a list of the ani times to see if there was at least one whole powerset that would match the eye/head blast ani times...but I am. That being said, I would much rather see them spend the development time on creating a variety of eyeblast animations to fit all the various animation times to be used as alternate animations for other powersets... 1

Ya, that would be nice, but I'm trying to make a suggestion that's as little work as possible. If they can do more, great! Otherwise, just using existing animations would be fine. 1 1
CrusaderDroid Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Best I can do for you is Radiation Blast, which has an eye beam attack. Was funny to see eye beams coming out of my friend's character, whose head was a crystal ball instead of anything that had eyes. Aspiring game designer and minotaur main. Anyone can tear something down. The true talent is building it back up again, better than before. My collection of powerset suggestions - open to comments and feedback!
