Shouts to "Bad" TF Teams

I really like that you pointed out noticing teammates. When I'm on a team that's a little too good sometimes we will be 5 missions in and I'm like "who is that guy?!"

 

I don't love that. Sometimes I don't know anybody but the leader and maybe whoever teleports a lot and I feel bad about it. Like I'm just laying face down waiting for a rez for awhile before realizing maybe nobody has one.

You can email yourself Rez inspirations.

You can also /ah between missions to grab inspirations from your auction inventory (unless the TF or Trial is instanced, like the Summer Blockbuster.)

Good gawd awmighty.  Two quotes come to mind: "Well, there's your problem!" and "No reward is worth this!"

 

I've been more and more considering not doing task forces on my leveling alts because of stuff like this where they wind up woefully underpowered in a task force that is going to take forever and a day.  (I'll leave it to the reader to draw the connection to players deciding to farm to 50.)  +1 or +2 can be a fun time, but any higher and I'm looking for the exit button. You're making things slower, not faster!

Yeah but these are kind of my point. What I found rewarding about this was novelty, camaraderie and maybe a bit of nostalgia. The late-game funnel of endlessly repeating WSTs, ITF, MCs, TinPexes etc starts to lose some of its luster when you’re T4ing your 30th level 50. Maybe it “cost” me an extra hour of in-game time. Comparing that hour to the maximum in-game rewards received doing something else is both not at all reflective of how I spend my game time, and kind of sad.

Everyone looks at rewards differently.

-How much and how fast XP/Influence/merits are earned is only one form of reward.

 

Others enjoy the challenge.  
The reward comes in fighting through and overcoming ridiculous odds.

 

I for one have enough influence and level 50’s.  For me, the enjoyment/reward comes from joining a pug of players who aren’t trying to steamroll or stealth everything.  Who don’t mind spending 2hours on a Manticore.  That just want to play the game.

I mean, if y'all want to run this at +4, fine.  If I'm hopping into a PuG that didn't announce that they're going +4, that's another matter.  At least tell me up front so I don't hop in on something I didn't want to join.
