maybe be able to make inspirations with Salvage?

Why? You can already buy every basic inspiration for less than what you can sell even common salvage for to any vendor. (Even the basic rez inspiration is just 150 inf compared to the 250 inf' you can vendor trash common salvage for.)

Inspirations (are supposed to) drop often. You can combine any 3 inspirations of the same type into any other inspiration you prefer or need. Stepping out of a mission to hit up a vendor or the AH is not actually a big deal. As you get higher in level you can store more inspirations on the character. You can also e-mail yourself a stockpile of inspirations if desired, though only 1 inspiration per e-mail.

yes, but you can't use the AH in missions while a portable workbench can be used in there.

... or, in the time it takes you to pull up the workbench and fiddle around seeing if you have the salvage, you can kill some other enemies and have them drop, or use the (free) inner inspiration power from the START vendor for three inspirations, though there's a timer on that one.

You can also store inspirations in you email.

Or in your AH storage if you're street fighting or dealing with one of the invasions.   Just use /ah to access it.

Get the Inner Inspiration from the S.T.A.R.T. vendors and use it every chance possible.  Take the Large ones you don't use immediately and store them in a base's Inspiration Collector.  Within a reasonable amount of time, you'll have a nice collection to select from when prepping for a mission.

I suppose I could get behind the idea of a crafted inspiration if it was something currently rare and expensive like a Super Team Dual.
