CoH cosplay - see you at DragonCon - Vote Lord Recluse!

Being an election year Lord Recluse thought it would be entertaining to take over via a democractic election instead of the customary way of seizing power.  He has sent us, his loyal Arcachnos Controller Legion, to drum up support for what will be - one way or another - a landslide victory for Lord Recluse and the Gang of Four.

 

I'll be at DragonCon, Atlanta (with 80K of my closest friends) this weekend - in costume Saturday.  I might still have badge flair ("I voted for Lord Recluse").  The QR codes on the sandwich boards go to our sign up page.

Nice Nem Staff!  DragonCon is so close! I'm unable to leave my home area, though, as I'm caring for a sick family member.  I hope you have a great time!

I went with a black morphsuit for the base and glued armor pieces onto it with contact cement. For the helmet, I used EVA foam over a bike helmet and added grey lenses—they gave the perfect sinister look while still letting me see. Velcro and magnets helped with the detachable parts so I could actually sit down when needed.

Forgot to get this out - only 9 months late.

 

I tried to go with a default character costume design of CoH if you were doing a rapid character create.  So black top hat, black pants, black shirt with a white centered star.  No, you can't see it, but I needed to be accurate.  The tattoo arms arent default but I included them because I already had the pull on sleeves - sue me.

 

I expected zero recognizes - zero.  I just wanted to do it.  I got recgonized a LOT.  This included people who had JUST started playing and people who were original game players who were on Homecoming now.  The best was the latter who stopped me and said "I never expected to see a CoH costume at DragonCon."
