New Ranged attack set empathy/vampire blast

How about an empathy/vampire type of damage set (a bit like Rogue from x-men).

 

eg for a sentinel style blast set: (but I think you could make blaster/defender/corruptor sets and melee/assault sets as well.

 

special - the secondary damage type of the set varies according to the group of enemies in the mission/being targeted and will be whatever the most common damage type is (thats not smashing) This represents the hero's ability to use a portion of their enemies power against them. 

 

1. ranged minor DMG (smash, special), fast

1. ranged moderate dmg (smash, Special), medium

2. ranged cone moderate (smash, special, slow

6. ranged (target AOE), moderate(smash/special) slow

8. Aim Self +To-Hit, +DMG, +Range

12. close high dmg (smash, special), slow

18. damage/heal minor dmg (smash, special) self heal, slow

22. ranged, foe stun, superior dmg (smash/special), slow

26, either pbaoe or targeted aoe, extreme dmg (smash, special) foe knockdown, very slow

You had me hoping for a second.  To be clear…Rogue is NOT a vampire.  You probably did not realize this.  It’s okay.  
 

Rogue never steals anyones powers for very long. In fact she is more or less just driving their car for a few minutes without permission.  Joyriding…not vampirism!

Protracted contact or particularly resisted can result in Rogue permanently gaining the powers of the person she is borrowing the powers of. That was the downfall of Ms. Marvel before she gained her power back in a new form as Binary. Which was still not a reversion of her power back to her from Rogue as Rogue still retained Ms. Marvel's powers herself.

I would envision a "vampiric blast set" to be something where every power debuffs an enemy in some way, then buffs the character in that same way, (so -dmg for them, +dmg for you), and then you can expand it to other such buffs/debuffs, like -rech/+rech, -spd/+spd, etc...

I'm not disagreeing with you by any means about the vampirism part. Just providing additional data points about Rogue herself. Sorry if I gave an impression otherwise.

It would be kind of interesting to have this deal psychic + cold damage;  Seems fitting to me...

I wasn't sure what to call the set, but in the end it's the adaptable damage that I was looking at...
