BazookaTwo Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I looked but don't see anyone doing this particular build? Anyone have advice on balancing def, dmg, end drain and recharge? By level 4 it's possible to have Molten Embrace and Assault. By 20 something you can pick Short Circuit and Consume back to back. This all seems stacked for ridiculous damage and end management, but the def is not easy to balance in with that. Eating reds and purples like candy will work, sure... But I'd love to hit ranged cap without needing purples. As it stands all my defenses in mids show 13-20 something.
FupDup Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Fire Armor is based around resistance, so trying to beef up its defenses is a bit of an uphill battle. And even if you did build up the def, there's no DDR. I think it would be easier and more efficient to go for resistances, max HP (up to the cap or close to it), global recharge, and slow resistance. Play to the set's strengths. 1 .
Luminara Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I have one. It's... the damage is great, and it's eminently survivable due to the endurance drain basically shutting everything down in the first few seconds, but draining causes enemies to run sooner than any other trigger (in my experience). You'll need the AoE Immob. 2 Get busy living... or get busy dying. That's goddamn right.
Teklord Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I also experience the common and annoying running due to end-drain on my Elec/EA sentinel. I will likely respec into the immob.
BazookaTwo Posted Saturday at 04:01 AM Author Posted Saturday at 04:01 AM (edited) I build on the test server this morning and it's a little bleeding edge style game play. Ended up doing Elec/Fire/Mu. The Mu AOE immob helps a lot. I may add chance to immob where I can before I get a proper Immob power, 35 feels like a long time to wait. Def/Res wise I was able to easily cap fire/cold and got to 50% or so for the rest. Not what I'm used to but...it definitely kicks out a lot of damage a d end drain. I took both consume and short circuit so I always have that "blue me" button handy. I may tweak healing flames to recharge faster by mixing sets. Right now I six slotted it for Panacea. I suspect it will team wonderfully and feel less edgy than soloing, but I always test everything to taste with soloing first. Once I get it rolling it might be another favorite.
