malewitch40 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I made an Earth Ice controller and with Quicksand and Snowstorm my goal is to hit the slow cap every single fight. This isnt about being the best or most uber guy, its just a concept character im playing for fun. I just want to slow mobs 99.9% if thats possible for fun, is it possible to get slows that high? Also, what is the exact cap number if at all possible? i plan on 6 slotting both powers, again, this isnt trying to be the deadliest fighter, just keeping a theme and having fun. Any info appreciated 🙂
Frosticus Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Slow cap is -90%. ,but level differences mean you need more than that in practice. 138% slow will cap a lvl 54 if you are a 50+1. Some enemies have slow resistance though. 1 2 Earth/Psi Dom - AV killer Arsenal/Sav Dom - AV Killer Poison - a guide to the most deadly poisons

Riverdusk Posted January 4 Posted January 4 (edited) Keep in mind move speed and recharge are separate. The move speed cap is -90%. The -recharge cap is -75%. Of course you can't slot for -recharge anyway, but if you are looking to stack different powers, it's useful to know. Can check out general caps here for everything: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Limits Edited January 4 by Riverdusk 2
rksr9997 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Slow is a great CC ability to abuse early in the game. In the middle you start having more trouble as some enemies (War Wolves, Carnie Strong Men etc...) they are like 100% resistant to slow and ALSO immobilize, so they just blast right through it and hit you in the face. If you have enough CC to keep them all under control, then the movement slow plus the -recharge really makes for good damage mitigation. Things that teleport aren't so limited by it either and snow storm sometimes makes the guy who has it on him take off in a random direction. If that's a War Wolf (or anything slow immune) then he just runs all over the place aggro-ing more things. I post this because I have tried, similarly, to make a controller that just abused slow as much as possible and I have found you will need a variety or CC to really deal with what the game throws at you (with the exception of untouchable, you almost never see anyone use these powers and you would think that since it is so rare it would be extra strong, but it seems to get resisted a lot.)

Somebody suggested the U2 version. It's crap - the streets have no name and I still haven't found what I'm looking for. .

Scarlet Shocker Posted May 20 Posted May 20 side note: I first read this and thought the answer would be to bang both hands together at a vastly reduced frequency 1 I needed a SatNav for work.
