Healmasters - Most effective primary to compliment being a healbot?

Draconic_Kid

Recommended Posts

You will not be using it as a heal because you ABSOLUTELY MUST build for perma Chrono Shift and basically be autocasting it every time it comes off cooldown, because it's too good to do otherwise. And I don't want to hear whiny "But the game doesn't require IO sets so you can't say perma-Chrono is a must", because that's only true if you never want to engage in Incarnate content at all. If you do, then IO Sets are absolutely mandatory and anyone who tells you otherwise is a fucking liar.

Speaking of, I was trying to plan out a /time MM and even with hasten and as many Recharge set bonuses & recharge IOs I could think of, I still couldn't get Chrono or Hasten to perma. Even picked Agility alpha slot and that STILL wasn't enough. So I grabbed Ageless and sure enough, easy to perma both hasten and chrono. So is there a trick to getting Chrono Shift and Hasten to perma status without ageless or is it better to just grab ageless and call it good?

khy: Here is a skeleton of a build that makes Hasten and Chrono permanent without incarnates. Three power picks, 32 slots for taste, and one pool selection remaining.

Edit: Use the MM ATO broken into each pet but no purples. A recharge in each of Chrono and Hasten is boosted.

This is my Bots/Time. Before level 50 it's not *quite* perma-Chrono, perma-hasten, but very close.

I can tell you that it's a beast even at lower levels though.

NOTE: The Explosive Strike procs in Battle Drones and Protector Bots are placeholders for Sudden Impact KB->KD, because Pine's does not have that set.

Cold shields don't get boosted.  I can take screenies if you're a skeptic.

Really? I don't see why that would be, since FF bubbles do. Pine's assumes it works, which is why I assumed it would...

I'm not doubting you, I just think that it's just strange that the power that explicitly states it boosts defense buffs wouldn't boost those two defense buffs.

It's because the cold shields have some resist baked in. It makes the entire power immune to power boost. I found it out the hard way and had to research why it didnt work.

deflection shield also has resists. i'm sure the reason had more to do with making sure that Ff had the edge in raw defense.

There's actually an HC admin answering this question on a thread about "fixing power boost" in the Suggestions forum.

It's specifically because the Damage Resist component of Cold's shields is enhanceable, where the Resist in FF shields is not. Since it's enhanceable, the entire power has to be locked to not be affected by external bonuses of any kind, because otherwise Damage buffs would buff the Damage Resistance in those shields.

Miasma has all the heals a party needs and excels at debuffing AVs so hard with -ToHit, -dam, you barely need the heals anymore. It synergizes exceptionally well with demons, which bring an additional demon mass heal, 30-50+ -DR through whips and demon hellfire attacks to stack with tarpit's -30 and an additional hold from demons that stacks nicely with the 2 from the set and the dark servant for regular holds on the boss-types.. And there's an AoE fear. And your heavy -regen also happens to AoE rez AND stun/slow.

Don't be good at one thing when you can be good at a metric butt-ton of things.

Bots/traps is the best healbot setup you can possibly choose. You can take aid pool and zero personal attack powers, let your bots do all the attacking, and spend all of your time dropping traps and using the aid pool. It feels like a healbot to you, to your team it feels like you are a tank, controller, defender, and sentinel all at the same time.

It may have been said I dont have time to read through all of the comments. Idk the best healing secondary, but i would think robots would compliment a healer well because they cast shields and heals on others. Also necro would semi compliment a healer because they have alot of -to hit debuffs they cast

Unfortunately, robots only cast forcefield and heals on each other, not other players. They will bubble (but not heal) the MM though.
