The Genin is amazing! Looks great, cool flashy martial art moves! Super reflexes! Perfect!

The Oni... what? A fire demon in disguise? Come on now. It's time for him to finally change! 

Now that it's agreed on I have an idea 💡 

THE SHOGUN! Shoguns are known to be powerful and influential leaders. Able to lead their brothers in arms effectively. I suggest the shogun would have a combination of martial art and katana abilities as well as leadership powers that empower the genins and jonins as well as the Mastermind!

oni are like, ogres with  a chance for magic and tend to have a variety of powers depending on blood, or birthplace.  and can be anything from a human to what you would think an ogre would look like.

 

two swords shogun sounds cool and all but i have this strong feeling vikings are happening with t1 units being axe/shield.  t2 units being spear melee/ranged/shield.  and t3 being a dual wielding berserker type.  just like how thugs came out before pistols the vikings might also pave the way for a staff fighting and dual blades revamp

Ideally, if there were some sort of customization option, there could be one MM set to cover vikings, pirates, romans, persians, etc.  Just three lowbie fighters, a mid-tier archer / crossbowman and a mid-tier defender (shieldmaiden?), and tier 3 heavy hitter (gladiator, samurai, knight, berserker, etc.).

 

Same stats, just different looks for samurai or knights or romans or whatever.  I'm actually surprised there isn't already a Roman MM.  Three hoplites, a seer and a medicus and an officer (or a minotaur if going with more of a fantastic motif).

 

That's the big deal for me.  I love me some fantasy and magic, but there might be a character I want to veer away from that and just have a crazy good assassin for my top tier ninja, while on another MM, more magic-themed, I'd love to call up fantasy warriors (one of them is a dwarf), tier 2 fantasy folk (the archer is an elf!), and a tier 3 fire wizard who totally doesn't resemble Tim the Enchanter from Monty Python & the Holy Grail.  🙂

Maybe T1 can be 3 weapon/shield dudes. Maybe a broadsword, axe and mace (club) (when upgraded they all get grant cover maybe 5% unenhanceable? so they give the MM and pets 15% def to m/r/a

T2 can be a shaman (team buffs/heals think poison alkaloid on a low cd and, enemy debuffs again maybe some kind of poison clones or he has to get in close to apply them PBAoE like poison trap? and then maybe some kind of low level knife attacks with to some kind of area control powers like caltrops etc) and a dog/wolf handler. Maybe the dog handler can have a sling and he just fires weak rocks and people but summons 3 T1 dog pets of his own that attack random targets)

T3 can be a berserker. Maybe a TW/WP brute who wades in wielding his gigantic two handed axe and lays waste to everyone around him.

What might be interesting having a power on the MM that is called "ambush warfare" which places all the pets into a stealth until they attack, when they attack they get 1 crit, like with ninjas but then your "berserker" goes berserk gaining a huge tohit and damage boost and resistances but starts his health bar draining and  turns off his regeneration so that damage 'sticks'. The buff will wear off when he dies or after a period of time. The Shaman will target the berserker when he is berserking to focus his heals and buffs to try keep him alive through his red mist. 

MM attacks are melee based mace attacks, so maybe bash, pulverise and crowd control clones with adjusted damages
