Anyone else having issues with Extract Essence?

I have 5 slotted Expedient Reinforcement in Extract Essence.  Every other or every 3rd time I have a corpse selected and fire the power, I get the sound and graphics, but not Extracted Essence appears.

I've had this happen to me, but only when I waited to long and the targeted corpse was de-rezzing.

Yep.  The body has to physically be there for the entire power animation.

 

This is why you should only use it on a “new” corpse.

And unfortunately some NPC bodies respawn automatically on death, so it takes experience fighting each mob.type to know which ones are viable targets for dark extraction.

Has to be fresh kills for them to work each time. I sometimes pick one that's been down too long and it disappears mid animation.
