Greeting's Fellow Hero's;

 I am new to the game. The one build that truly caught my attention was the Sentinel Water Blast/Regen build. When I tried to look up the build through the multiple search engines. I couldn't find a single build. Might be a logical reason. So, I decided to try my luck and locate a forum. If there was one. And hello. There was. So, I'm going to try my luck here.

 If there is a reasonable low cost PvE build that I can get my hands on. Something that uses Aqua Bolt as one of the abilities. I would be most grateful to anyone who can share their build. And help me with the possible choice that I can use. I can try and answer some questions. Except as I stated. I am new. I just need a build that I can use in game that can possibly handle for solo in PvE

Thank you;

Welcome aboard!  To be honest, I don't think you'll enjoy regeneration as an armor set in the late game or in end game/incarnate content.  If you are looking for a solid armor set with lots of endurance/recovery to keep all your powers "fueled", may I suggest Radiation Armor or perhaps Ninjitsu, (though the latter does require a bit more attention and responsiveness to fully utilize)...

 I truly appreciate the possible options. I still prefer the regen option with water.

NP.  I would stress that you focus on boosting your absorb from Instant Regeneration and possibly try to fit in some defense, whether via pool powers like weave, maneuvers, and combat jumping, plus from Invention Origin sets, if and when possible.  I'd also look into binding reconstruction and possibly second wind to easily accessibly keys, so you can use them in those "Oh sh!t!" moments...

Thanks. I shall keep that in mind for the Instant Regeneration as part of the build. If anybody can help with it first. LOL

You can try looking at the build list thread and grabbing my psi/regen and mashing it against one of my water builds.

Sad to say that I am NOT to great with creating a build. Reason why I seek a build. One that can add Aqua Bolt and Instant Regeneration as part of the build.

Until someone posts a build that meets your requirements (I would but my builds are all expensive) I'll offer some general tips to help along your leveling journey.

1) Respecs are plentiful, so don't fear making mistakes or even completely changing your build at different levels. A free respec is granted every 10 levels, they are very inexpensive to purchase as a recipe and craft from the AH, and finally there is certain content that will offer respecs as a reward.

2) Make liberal use of the 5 unique damage enhancements from the START Vendor, listed under the "Prestige enhancement" category. They're totally free, and do not trigger enhancement diversity penalties between each other. If you're sort something good or intentional to put in a damage power, put these in and slot over them at your leisure. You can always go back and get more free!

3) Right now is the mapserver event, or "MS" in chat parlance. This large group open world content will very quickly generate exp and wealth for your character. Something to consider on your first toon, which will serve as the platform for your future game economy. If you elect to try this content, quickly move to the zone people are advertising it in and get in the league, but be warned. It can get a little wacky.

At what difficulty level are you looking to solo at? Soloing difficulty can vary greatly depending on if you want to solo missions to be set for a team of x8 with bosses or not as well as how much higher in level you want those enemies to be. If you're planing to solo at +0/1x, you can do so using SOs or basic IOs without difficulty. The higher the difficulty you want to be able to solo, the higher the cost of the build usually ends up being.

Regen isn't really a sturdy armor set to begin with, especially if you are attempting to solo with it at high difficulty settings. It has no inherent defensive toggles/passives, low resist values, and not that great regen rate since the amount of HP regen/second depends not only on the regen rate, but also the amount of max HP that it's being applied to. Since sentinels don't have very high HP, they don't benefit as much from regeneration. Iirc, the sentinel version of regeneration focuses more on absorb shields rather than direct regeneration.

Perhaps stating what difficulty level you're trying to build towards being able to solo will help with others designing an affordable build to handle that difficulty level.

I have two regen Sentinels right now, a level 50 storm blast/regen and a L44 rad blast/regen.  The storm blast is a good example of a partially purpled out L50 with 2 superior sent archetype sets, plus ragnarok (targeted AOE) and apocalypse (ranged dam). You can replace any or all purples with lesser sets if you wish, although the sentinel AT sets are a lot cheaper to pick up as standard sets (about 8 mill a piece) and upgrade to superior at L50 (about 500k-600k for each upgrade). My current rad/regen is a good example of a leveling build. Monsoon Thunder is my storm blast/regen, Angelic Light my rad blast/regen. I do have a planned L50 build for Angelic light but it is even more purpled out than Monsoon and probably won't help you much right now.

I have found that regen is a lot tougher that most people think, but you need to focus on the following

1) Buff up your HP. More HP increases everything in regen as your absorb, heal and regen are all based on a % of total HP.

2) Slot as much resist/defense as you can to reduce the incoming damage, to give your regen a chance to catch up

3) Slot for global recharge - partially to make sure the heal is up as often as possible, but also to leverage any powers with controls in them. Anytime you can interrupt attackers it slows down incoming damage and gives your regen a chance to catch  up.

Storm blast, with all the KB in cat 5 and storm cell is great at that. With water blast you likely want to leverage geyser, water burst and the slows in whirlpool (plus whirlpool makes mobs run away slowly - running mobs generally aren't attacking  🙂
