I've got a concept, need AT/powersets - the Ouro Bro

Hey all, I was having fun messing around in Ouroboros when a character concept hit me: an Ouroboros fixer. Sort of like Sam from Quantum Leap, a guy doomed to constantly leap into different times/places and figure it out on the fly.

 

My goal would be to primarily solo, primarily through Ouroboros, and never repeat the same content twice.

 

Anybody have ideas for an AT/powerset combo that would fit thematically - and be playable under those conditions from 1-50?

 

And yes, I'm camping on the tentative name "Ouro Bro." I've filled up his costume slots with different looks depending on if he's blue, red, or goldside. Because you have to try to fit in....

I mean... Time Manipulation is the obvious powerset to build around.
Do you wanna blast stuff? Corruptor or Defender.
Do you wanna have mooks that blast stuff? Mastermind.
Do you wanna lock everything down? Controller.

Bots/Time MM is a very powerful combo at most levels; what with the Defense stacking and additional -Regen for AVs/GMs.

I would probably avoid a controller, actually, yeah they’re safe, but it’s low damage, which is less fun solo.

 

I’d probably go Mastermind or Corruptor

I like the idea of a /Time corruptor. What primary would do well with it for leveling 1-50 (and exemp back down well too)? And I'm thinking no weapons, for the theme.

I was going to suggest Beam Rifle for theme… but then you said no weapons.

ice and Psy have the stacking -recharge to go on top of Time’s.  Electric has the advantage of not having cones, which works well with time liking melee range.  I know it’s not a meta set, but I find Storm blast to be very fun.

I rolled a DP/Time Corruptor. He's a '30s era shamus.

 

I also made a build for a Fire/Time. Built right /Time can just sit in melee. So, I think the primary is just what flavor you want.

if you take arcane bolt at level 4 it will totally change how you play a controller. arcane bolt does x2 damage on containment and can proc off of any attack power used for insta-recharge and x3 damage.

i have made an ouroboros pool boy and ouroboros lifeguard... why not an ouroboros janitor? there is a secret door underneath the pool, that could be the janitor's closet. i don't know... maybe a staff (with the broom)/psychic armor brute/tank? (currently in beta right now!) it has a couple of powers that deal with seeing into the future... 😄

With Electricity always associated with Time Travel and an effect in the Quantum Leap series.  Thought this might work for you.

That's a cool build, thank you! Those crazy high defenses would definitely make the solo missions easier.

Fun idea! I really wish the animations for psychic melee weren't so... awful. I would love to use that set. I'm looking forward to trying psychic armor. Maybe I could go energy melee/psychic armor instead?
