Snarky Posted Friday at 10:40 AM Posted Friday at 10:40 AM This is a serious question about intangibility powers used on enemies. The reason for this question now is it looks like Dark Miasma will get a update from “you are intangible” to …. A weak fold space? Mixed with an intangible for EBs and certain others that resist the 1st effect. That is my best understanding. Not even trying for sarcasm. (I was going to add something here, but.. I won’t) Now I have never taken intangible powers. For all the reasons some of you will quickly name. I have it on my 34 Corruptor with 1 SO Accuracy in the default slot. I use it (less than mark and recall by far) on missions solo. It is useful to hit a group crowding a glowie. Unfortunately the way blue side is written 25% time after getting all glowies the mission turns into a kill all… Please tell me your thoughts on Intangible powers. Are they useful? Can they be useful? Is this strange hybrid going to be useful? Will it get me black listing on teams leagues? (And i need NO further help in this endeavor…) 1 1

Seldom Posted Friday at 02:29 PM Posted Friday at 02:29 PM (edited) The only time I've ever taken/used an intangibility and liked it was on a Gravity dominator I took dimension shift as a panic button. I play with a group that doesn't min/max their characters, especially early game, and we started a goldside group. With all the ambushes in missions goldside, it was pretty handy a few times to be able to 'pause' any extra groups until we finished the first group, but an actual control would've actually do the same thing. What made this sort of work was that it was a toggle by this time, so when we were ready to handle the added enemies, I could drop it and pile on them. Also to note, once the characters got higher level, the above never really became an issue, as once characters have their full loadout, even an extra group can be handled pretty quickly by a 5-7 person team. I still never take the sonic/forcefield single intangibility powers, because on teams all I end up doing is protect the enemy from near instant death, and solo it's hard to note when the 'timeout' enemy will come buck into play. Psyonico Posted Friday at 02:47 PM Posted Friday at 02:47 PM My namesake is a mind/force field and I used detention field to decent effect in live a few times. But I’ve skipped it ever since. 1 What this team needs is more Defenders
Uun Posted Friday at 02:54 PM Posted Friday at 02:54 PM I like the current version of Dimension Shift. Not only can you turn it off when you want, you can enter the phased area and fight the foes inside the bubble. My Gravity controller is /Storm, and it's great fun to drop Lightning Storm and Tornado inside the bubble and watch the popcorn pop. 1 Uuniverse

I have a gravity/trick arrow troller, and dimension shift is great fun on her. What I do is drop the shift down on a group of enemies, set down all my debuffs, then step into it and light the oil slick on fire, then step back out. The enemies all tend to burn to death and can't shoot at me except for the brief moment I step inside to light the oil. Once I got used to it, it became my go-to tactic since it works really well, though it takes a bit of time to set up (like most TA stuff). 1
