Help with switchblade bug wings?

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but here goes. I'm looking to switch between two costumes when I turn on my flight power. When flight is on, I want to use costume 2 which has insect wings. When flight is off, I want to use costume 1 which has no wings. I just can't wrap my head around the whole CCE thing. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

I use these to switch between an IB=innocent bystander  and a super mode. My tray 9 in these cases has limited powers that would fit with an innocent bystander.

You have to wait - believe 10 seconds - between costume changes.

It doesn't sound like CCE is what you're looking for, though you could certainly incorporate that as well.

 

I think you're looking to bind fly activation and the costume change with one key. If you want to use the same key to change back, you'll need to make that bind rotate, but I imagine that one could easily get out of sync if you pressed it while your costume change was cooling down.

You could also do it with macros.

 

/macro Fly “cc 0$$powexec_toggleon Fly”

/macro FlyOff “cc 1$$powexec_toggleoff Fly”

 

assuming your first costume has wings and your second does not.

 

 You may have to click the macro twice for both effects to work.

@Speed Freak I would do the costume change first to make sure it goes through and you have the wings and then toggle flight on - otherwise, you are likely to have situations where you start flying when the wings aren't there ... due to one reason or another. At least, that the way that I handle it.

Actually, after a bit of work quite a while ago, I figured out a way to do exactly what you wanted @Speed Freak with just ONE Macro. This is an example of just one I actively use...

 

   /macro_image "originicon_magic" "Mystic Flight/CC/Rush" "+ $$powexec_toggleon Mystic Flight$$cce 0 CCMurderOfCrows$$powexec_toggleoff Mystic Flight$$powexec_toggleon prestige power rush$$cce 1 CCMurderOfCrows$$powexec_toggleoff prestige power rush"

 

   By pressing the Macro once, it will change my character from having no wings in the first costume slot (CC 0) in combination with the Murder of Crows emote, to the second costume slot (CC 1) that has them. Then by hitting the Macro again, it will reverse the process; IE: no wings with the Murder of Crows emote. This doesn't always work exactly though, as such changes can get a bit buggy due to lag and such, but most of the time it works perfectly. Just note that as @UltraAlt said, you have to wait a minimum of 10 seconds between costume changes for them to take effect. In addition, if Macros' aren't your thing, just change it to a bind instead. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy... 🙂

Okay,so this is what I have so far: 

/macro_image "originicon_mutation" "Convert" "+ $$powexec_toggleon Costume: Mini Mode$$cce 1 ccfireworks$$powexec_toggleoff Costume: Mini Mode$$cce 0 CCfireworks"

Popping out of "costume" works just fine no issues. Getting into form has a delay, the fireworks CCE goes off, then there is a delay of at least 2 seconds before the character minimizes, not sure what's going on there. As a stretch goal, would like to turn on flight when "mini-ing out" and turn it off when "maxing". Thanks again for any help that you can give or that's even possible.

   Yup, there tends to be a delay at time (though not always), and I think it's because of what emote you are using in conjunction with the other commands, whether it be Mini Mode, Fly, or otherwise. I think it's just an old ass game being old is all lol. But of course, this is all speculation on my part; maybe a GM can comment on this, I don't know. 🙂

Dual Blades/Super Reflex brue but he's flightless currently
