srmalloy Posted June 29 Posted June 29 There are other powers that boost more than one attribute, but only one of them is enhanceable. The power description doesn't list endurance modification in either the allowed enhancement types, nor allowed sets, so it appears to be WAI.

I would think the bug is that those tags aren't on the power. The +MaxEnd component isn't tagged "ignores buffs and enhancements", which is usually the case for aspects of a power for which enhancements can't be slotted.

The power is not supposed to accept endurance modification enhancements.

My point is that the power not being tagged to accept those enhancements IS THE BUG.

My point is that the power not being tagged to accept those enhancements IS THE BUG. Per the game and City of Data, it isn't supposed to. It does not matter if the power says or does not say an element of the power ignores buffs and enhancements. The power is set up to not accept endurance modification enhancements and all available references for the power corroborate that. Now, if you would like that changed, then submit a suggestion asking to have it changed. It not doing what you want though does not make it a bug.

If you can't slot a type of enhancement, a power that boosts that aspect of a character doesn't need "ignores enhancement" -- that way, you can't slot an End Mod enhancement and have it do nothing while taking up an enhancement slot. The power has never allowed for slotting Endurance Modification enhancements or set. The Electric Armor set was added with the introduction of Brutes in Issue 6, proliferated to Stalkers in Issue 12, to Scrappers and Tankers in Issue 16, and then to Sentinels in Issue 25, with Charged Shield replacing the damage aura Lightning Field. Issue 27 Page 2 is an awfully long time to wait to 'discover' that the power, working the way it has since it was originally released, is suddenly and only now bugged because it doesn't do what you want.
FupDup Posted Sunday at 09:02 PM Posted Sunday at 09:02 PM (edited) There are a number of powers out there that have secondary effects but can't slot enhancements for them, and Charged Shield is one of them. Another similar case is Obscure Sustenance from Dark Armor (also can't slot endmod). I wish that it could slot EndMod, but at least Elec's native recovery tools are good enough that it's not needed. Would still be nice though even if for just holding a Power Transfer proc or w/e. Edited Sunday at 09:03 PM by FupDup .
Galactiman Posted Monday at 05:14 AM Author Posted Monday at 05:14 AM It may be intentional or it may be an oversight, which has happened plenty of times before. I'd rather the devs take a look and decide. Not sure what is even the point of randos coming into a bug report thread and deciding something is or isn't a bug.

It might be as designed, but until a dev says so, take other people's comment as why it might not be a bug as a possibility, but not final.
