Fire/EM Builld Help

Hi,

 

I just hit 50 with my Fire/Energy/Mace blaster and am trying to craft a build that gives me decent survival without losing much of my dps potential. I play exclusively in PVE, groups and ranged/hover. My focus has been on ranged def. I haven't hit the defense cap for ranged and this already feels like an expensive build.

Here's my take on fire/em with ranged @ 35%, and smashing, lethal, and energy soft-capped.  If power boost is active (every 4 seconds), then ranged is ~ 41% and you are also soft-capped on negative e.
