Story Archer Posted August 1 Posted August 1 I want to preface this by saying that I'm using Mids and that that's probably the source of much of the confusion, but I'm sure some of the experts on here can help me out (I'm looking at you @Maelwys )... Alright, so I'm building a Claws/SR Scrapper. I've chosen TP as my primary travel power but I've got some slots to work with and I want to make her of moving around well enough with out it. I've got the following at the moment: Sprint slotted with Run 50 IO [Swift] slotted with Run 50 IO] [Hurdle] slotted with Jump 50 IO] [Quickness] slotted with Run 50 IO] To that I've added: Athletic Run Combat Jumping Infiltration I'd like to get my Run speed, Jump speed and Jump Height all as high as reasonably possible. I'd also like to get my Stealth up as high as I can when I'm running Infiltration. Ideally I won't have to put a Stealth IO in Sprint and I won't have to use Athletic Run at all, though neither of those are deal breakers. No Ninja Run though, I hate how it looks. So my question is really about which IO's to slot where. I'm looking at the Launch Increased Jump Height IO, the Thrust Increased Running Speed IO and the Celerity Stealth IO among others, but depending on where I put them, they don't seem to have much effect, if any at all. At the moment, this is the highest I've been able to get my movement rates: Run Speed: 50.96 mph Jump Speed 39.9 mph Jump Height 24.68 ft Those can't be the max, can they? Also, Infiltration doesn't seem to move the needle at all in Mids when it comes to Stealth despite it supposedly having some sort of a Stealth component and it doesn't seem to increase any of my movement rates either despite supposedly improving those. What does Infiltration actually do? TIA for any insight you can offer, I'm really going around in circles on this and it should be pretty simple in theory. Psyonico Posted August 1 Posted August 1 You likely have combat mode flagged in Mids. Infiltration loses 100% of its benefits while in combat. Additionally, I believe that Athletic Run and Infiltration don't stack, in game will only take Infiltration into consideration as it has higher stats than Athletic Run. For "maxing out" stuff when using Infiltration, I usually 3 slot it with either Blessing of the Zephyr (if I need KB protection) or Winter's Gift (if I don't). It doesn't ED max anything, but both sets improve both the run and jump aspects of Infiltration, so you get more bang for your buck. If you happen to have enough slots lying around, 3 slot one of the above sets, 1 slot the movement speed IO from the other set (50+5 if you really want to max stuff) then use the +jump unique and the +run unique as those are separate from ED. I don't think its worth 6 slotting infiltration though. What this team needs is more Defenders

User error per usual. I think I'm settling on three-slotting Infiltration with the Celerity +Stealth, the Launch +Jump and the Thrust +Run. Combat Jumping will get a standard Jump IO and that should be enough to give me what I'm looking for (Run speed 65mph, Jump Height 65ft). I'm not positive on this, but I think that the +Jump and +Run increase the maximum values, so the cap increases, but if you aren't at the cap, it won't do anything.

They appear to do both. There was no difference between dropping one of them in and a L50 generic IO. The forum doesn't appear to be letting me upload files at the moment (and I still have a good 20% storage free!) but: Infiltration = Lv50+5 Winter's Gift Movement Speed, Lv50+5 Blessing of the Zephyr Movement Speed, Lv50+5 Thrust Runspeed Global, Gift of the Ancients Runspeed Global. Stamina = Synapse's Shock +Runspeed Global Sprint = Common Lv50+5 Runspeed [Sprint and Infiltration both toggled on] = 92.5 (capped) Runspeed + 78 (capped) Jumpspeed (Note that Mids is bugged and doesn't show the Jump Height buff in Infiltration; but if you toggle on Athletic run it should appear even though Athletic Run is superfluous) 🙄 If you want "almost as good with less slots"... you can strip Infiltration back to just a single Lv50+5 Movement Speed plus the Synapse's Shock +Runspeed Global; then drop the slot in Sprint (swap it to a Celerity:Stealth!) and the slot in Stamina. That's about 84.5 Runspeed and 74.6 Jumpspeed. And using Movement/EndRed HOs in Infiltration instead of the Lv50+5 Movement Speeds is an option too.
Aracknight Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Two slotting infiltration with +5 winter's gift, when added to +5 run speed in swift, +5 run speed in quickness (im Super Reflexes) and with sprint on (with celerity stealth) puts me at the non super speed speed cap. For transparency i typically run musculature alpha which boosts run speed as well, and may play a part.
Uun Posted August 1 Posted August 1 I have several characters that use Infiltration as their only travel power. Slot a Celerity or Unbounded Leap stealth IO in Infiltration instead of Sprint. This gives you a 66 foot stealth radius and will make you invisible to everything except snipers, Rikti drones and others that ignore stealth. I add a Blessing of the Zephyr speed/jump/end (and -kb if I need kb protection) or a Microfilament HO. Infiltration's movement speed and jump buffs are cancelled in combat), but aren't subject to the same 4s suppression that Athletic Run is. If you're using TP as your travel power, you could also 2-slot Blessing of the Zephyr there. Enhancing the range is definitely beneficial. 1 Uuniverse
Riverdusk Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Just checked one of my infiltration characters. At level 50, 82.33mph running, 78.18mph jumping (seems to be capped), and 63.69 ft jump height. I only have infiltration 3 slotted (a LoTG, winter's gift move speed enhance, and winter's gift slow resistance). Sprint has a celerity +stealth so I don't even have that enhanced. I do have a couple of movement set bonuses and lightning reflexes (which should be equal to your quickness). Should definitely be doable for you.
