Gerswin Posted yesterday at 01:19 PM Posted yesterday at 01:19 PM Upon activation, this power opens up a dialogue box for a player in another zone. If they accept, they are teleported to a location similar to tp target. It does not work if either player is in a mission. Recharge time - 15 minutes This power could be used to expedite forming a task force or trial when one player is super slow or unfamiliar with base teleport, long range teleporter, or lfg travel. It could even be disabled once a task force begins if there are balance concerns.
MTeague Posted yesterday at 01:34 PM Posted yesterday at 01:34 PM (edited) Such a power already exists. Whether or not it has the same recharge time that you recommend, I cannot say. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Veteran_Reward_Powers#Assemble_the_Team [EDIT: er... wait, dammit, now I'm not sure. Don't know if ATT summons across zones] Ignore me. I apparently know not what I speak of. Edited 19 hours ago by MTeague .
Steampunkette Posted yesterday at 01:40 PM Posted yesterday at 01:40 PM (edited) Assemble the Team requires the same zone. All Teleport Powers require the same zone because they need target coordinates, and every zone has the same X/Y/Z map. They also require a target on the same map, because the targeting system doesn't allow for multi-zone interaction of powers. So if you COULD target a player on a different map with a teleport power, the game would teleport them to your target location... relative to the zone they're in. Which could be inside geometry. Something like this would need to be handled through a separate structure, like Chat, Email, Constacts, or Auction House, for it to communicate that kind of intention. Like how the Oro Crystal can teleport you to the mission's contact. It can only do that because it's not targeting you with a power, it's shunting you to a different map. Steampunkette Posted yesterday at 01:42 PM Posted yesterday at 01:42 PM This "Teleport to Contact" button exists and functions because the Contact in question has a specific location on a specific map. You'd need any prompt to use a similar system, rather than being an actual "Power" that can target across zones. 1
lemming Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Team Transport can teleport to other zones and if you keep changing the destination, team members can go to different mission doors. So there's some methods at least on one ability that can do this, but there's probably a different limitation. Just based on not every mission destination seems to work, deliveries are a never for instance. Mission doors are fine. And there are a few Ouro contacts that don't work either. (Not enough coffee atm) If the technical aspects could be fixed, it would be a handy power. 15 min would be a nice cooldown, but the others ones are all 30 min at least. (Or just make ATT work this way if it can and replace Group Teleport in the TP pool with it)
Gerswin Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago Honestly I would be happy if it just teleported the teammate to the correct zone. 1

But could you do it via a location drop? So the power drops a beacon for the game to latch onto?

Oklahoman Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Why not a Teleport to Team Leader temp power? Since we already have teleport to contact, maybe that's easier to implement? 2 Oklahoman, Okie, Vayne Glorious, Sooner Magic, Treehugging Wacko, Boy Band, etc Farming Incarnate Salvage - 1 salvage roll every 15 minutes! || Why NO TELLS to join your little MSR thing? I do not understand how anyone can take 9 minutes to get from Cimerora to Skyway city, but it happened this morning. I would like for the people who are waiting on the one super slow person to be able to fetch them, not for the leader to count on every invited person having the correct temp powers ready to go.
