Uun Posted September 3 Posted September 3 In the last mission of Operative Grillo's Snake Fest arc the objective is to defeat Stheno and minions. In the final room are a several large patches of snake eggs. Are the eggs supposed to spawn nothing but bosses? I ran the mission solo at +3/x6 and got 50+ bosses (15-20 per patch). Uuniverse

I've only ever run at default setting with bosses enabled, and yes, the only things I've ever had hatch from those eggs is cobras. It's entirely normal to get bosses. Edit: I really make an effort to destroy the eggs before they hatch for that reason. Or I pull the stuff away from the eggs, defeat them, then get the egg started. Edited September 4 by Major_Decoy 1

Go0gleplex Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I've never had any issues with this mission either; be it melee or ranged toon. I also always go for the eggs first, the hatching sequence starting once within a certain range or after taking the first attack from what I've observed and always a Cobra. The difficulty setting could be affecting their hatching speed and/or expanding the range that they detect approaching enemies. My two-cents anyhow. Obviously, ranged toons have an advantage on this mission as they can stay pretty much out of range for most of the snake's attacks if using flight. Good luck!

Unless something has changed, there's a range where they start hatching. I'd guess 25', but it might be further. Of course, it might one of those things that got changed behavior from changing something else. Might be worth a quick retest on beta in someone's copious spare time.
