srmalloy Posted Friday at 05:47 PM Posted Friday at 05:47 PM (edited) I've been accumulating publicly-accessible bases and their passcodes, and have created the attached popmenu file. Save the file and place it in your Homecoming\data\texts\[language]\menus folder (replace [language] with whatever your installed language is, such as 'English'). The next time you start your CoH client, use the command /macro_image "Apparitions_Dissipate" "Bases" "popmenu BaseCodes" This will create an icon in your power trays that, when clicked on, will give you a menu listing the four bases that I've seen used as instanced MSR assembly points, followed by individual bases grouped in alphabetical clusters that can be expanded to show the bases in that cluster. Clicking on any entry while near a base portal or while in a base will transport you to the selected base. If you have any additions or corrections, feel free to respond here or message me in game. Update: Added Masters of Olympus base, Monument base, and corrected a format problem preventing access to some of the base entries. NewExcelBases.mnu Edited Sunday at 03:13 AM by srmalloy 1
Troo Posted Friday at 05:51 PM Posted Friday at 05:51 PM this seems helpful. CAN YOU MAKE ONE FOR THE HALLOWEEN BASES?!! <-- this would be awesome for folks to tour them and do a little actual tricker treatin on the 31st "Homecoming is not perfect but it is still better than the alternative.. at least so far" - Unknown (Wise words Unknown!) Troo Posted Saturday at 05:44 AM Posted Saturday at 05:44 AM @Dacy or @Easter Bunny might know. The one mention I know about so far: "Homecoming is not perfect but it is still better than the alternative.. at least so far" - Unknown (Wise words Unknown!) Si vis pacem, para bellum

I have TOUR bases on every server; the main Halloween bases are on Everlasting, and one on Excelsior. TOUR code for Everlasting is TOUR-33691, for Excelsior is TOUR-30788. Tour bases list things such as bases that have won competitions, have been showcased, clubs, and seasonal attractions that have been made public. Matching it against the popmenu, which I'd originally made from that list, I find that your list is missing 'Masters of Olympus' (OLYMPUS-30352, a well-done classical-themed outdoor base) and 'Monument' (MONUMENT-33650, an indoor base heavy on the statuary), both of which I found in general chat on Wednesday. Otherwise, the spreadsheet and my popmenu agree completely.
Retired Community Rep Dacy Posted Sunday at 05:05 PM Retired Community Rep Posted Sunday at 05:05 PM Well, we only put in bases that put in to be listed. Except, the TOUR bases have a few that aren’t otherwise listed. -Dacy Retired CR Active Base Advocate My base building tutorials are always available for you! Want to join the Base Builder's Discord? srmalloy Posted Sunday at 05:49 PM Author Posted Sunday at 05:49 PM Both the Masters of Olympus and Monument bases were flogged in gen chat as generally accessible; the player pushing Masters of Olympus seemed particularly proud of their base, and having visited it I can see why. 1
ZacKing Posted Monday at 11:58 AM Posted Monday at 11:58 AM Thanks for the compliments and for adding my Masters of Olympus base! I'm very proud of it and I'm glad you enjoyed visiting. Please do use it anytime and share the code. Your list looks to have completely snubbed Shard Warrior's Paragon Corps Watchtower. It is the 2025 Sci-Fi Base Building Contest champ and it's listed in the Excel Base Tour base. It's also part of a collection of bases across servers. There's links in there to the bases on Torchbearer and Indom. They're worth a visit if you've never seen them.
Retired Community Rep Dacy Posted Monday at 01:12 PM Retired Community Rep Posted Monday at 01:12 PM Well, the builder being who he is would explain why they are missing from the directory. They will not put their bases in that listing, and we of course are not going to list a base without permission. The Watchtower, as a Base Building Champ, is listed in the TOUR hub, however, and on the Wall of Fame in the Base Construction topic. One question: is your popmenu for just Excelsior, or all the shards? The bases and chat you've referenced are only from Excelsior. And there are only 2 bases I know of that are doing treats on Halloween, The WItch's House, on Everlasting, and Mischief Manor, on Excelsior. Does anyone know of any others? -Dacy Retired CR Active Base Advocate My base building tutorials are always available for you! Want to join the Base Builder's Discord? My base isn't in the directory either, but the OP was kind enough to compliment my hard work and include the code in their pop menu. 35 minutes ago, Dacy said: The Watchtower, as a Base Building Champ, is listed in the TOUR hub I did say as much in my post in case you missed it. 1 hour ago, ZacKing said: It is the 2025 Sci-Fi Base Building Contest champ and it's listed in the Excel Base Tour base.

I have the list from the Base Tour base copied out, but all it gives are the base codes -- which lets you get into the base, but doesn't give me a label to put in the popmenu listing -- and the password for a base code may not be relevant to the SG name, so I need to go through the list to, first, check to see whether a base is already in the list, then if not, contact the individual listed for the base in the base tour list to get a name. The popmenu is just for the Excelsior bases, as I don't currently have any characters on the other servers; I built a list for what would be accessible to me. Making popmenus from the Google Docs base listings would be easy enough, but again, if the base tour lists are like the one for Excelsior, they only give codes, not SG names, so I'd have to do the same check-and-contact routine for the other servers, too.

I understand that the tour bases only have codes, not SG names. There is a way to get the SG name though. You may not know this, but the SG name will come up in (IIRC) system chat if you manually enter the code into the portal. It'll say "Passcode accepted for <SG name>". You might not have the system chat channel enabled on your active chat tab or maybe have the chat window closed altogether. As for not knowing the SG name for The Watchtower, I guess you missed the overly abundant branding with the SG name right smack in front of you as you enter the base. The Paragon Corps SG name is also created in large lettering outside the exterior of the station, as well as one or two other places on other floors. See the post above with all of the screen captures. 1
