ShardWarrior Posted Wednesday at 03:06 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:06 AM Humble request - please add the new Force Field VFX to the list of powers/VFX that is removed when enabling the /noparticles command. The /noparticles command does not do anything to remove the VFX for these, and they can be truly obtrusive during raids. They make things much more difficult to see buried under these VFX. Here are a few examples with /noparticles enabled. The same applies for the various Ice Shields, some of which are still fully visible even with /noparticles enabled. Thank you.
dukedukes Posted Wednesday at 01:06 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:06 PM FYI the low graphics setting changes the hex shields to the regular shield.

PoptartsNinja Posted Wednesday at 06:01 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:01 PM (edited) IIRC Force Fields create a no-collison object that isn't a particle effect, in the same way part of the Mitochondria / Hamidon is a transparent ball so you can still target them even with /noparticles active. I support anything to make the hex shields easier to look at, though, like freezing their animation or dimming them significantly. They're genuinely nauseating in a way even the old moving bubbles aren't. Edited Wednesday at 06:02 PM by PoptartsNinja 1

lemming Posted Wednesday at 08:48 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:48 PM In the meantime, has anyone tried the No Forcefield Bubbles from the City Mod program?
Vanden Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM Force Fields can't be disabled by /noparticles because they aren't particles, they're 3D geometry. Same as the icicles from Blizzard and the waves from Whirlpool in the screenshots. Perhaps have them converted to minimal VFX versions or hidden altogether when /noparticles is enabled? I have no objection to people styling and coloring their characters and their abilities the way they like. All I ask is a way to turn that off when I would like. 21 hours ago, lemming said: In the meantime, has anyone tried the No Forcefield Bubbles from the City Mod program? I cannot speak for everyone, but I personally would rather not have to rely on an unsupported third party mod to do this.

That's your prerogative, but I find some of them pretty handy and their support has been pretty good. I haven't tried many of the graphical ones, but the sound ones are incredibly handy. The popmenu ones I like working on, so I tend to just get them

I am sure it is fine, I just prefer not to download unknown software.
