Just playing around with the power set on a Brute and it seems a bit lackluster. For instance only a few of the skills even have secondary gimmick (sleep). why not all of them? plus, the chance is low to begin with. Another ability that is odd to me is Thunder Strike, while it does high damage to the main target the AoE of the skill does very minimal damage, about 1/4 of the main damage, why? Also, Chain Induction seems to only hit 5 max, jumps slowly.

An idea for this set change would be to have most of the attacks have a chance to chain lightning much like how radiation has a chance for and AoE burst. Bring up the AoE damage of Thunder Strike to match its main damage, i could be wrong but other AoE's don't seem to have this damage decrease.  With Chain Induction have either a bigger jump radius or hit more targets with maybe the jump speed of the incarnate Ion Judgement.

I'm all for buffs but Elec Melee is already among the top AOE sets, adding more AOE damage seems unlikely to happen. It's shortcoming lies in it's single target damage, I'd rather see Chain Induction and Jacobs Ladder swap positions and remove the tiny cone from JL and make it a more impactful single target attack to beef up it's weak spot. Chain Inductions feels a little underwhelming but adding up the initial strike + 5 jumps, the damage seems reasonable but certainly not stellar. I wouldn't say no to a little buff there.

All the attacks except for Chain Induction get 1 of the following effects: sleep/disorient/KB. I prefer the variety to everything having a sleep effect that will be immediately broken with my plethora of AOE.

There are a few cases where an AOE attack does different things to the initial target vs proximity targets. Propel is the one that comes to mind, it deals damage to the initial target and KB on proximity targets.

I really enjoy playing Electric Melee and don't think it's in dire need of improvement but if the Devs want to buff it I certainly won't complain.

Thunderstrike was actually recently buffed to its current iteration.   It used to do slightly more damage than its current AoE portion to all targets.  It was buffed to do significantly more damage to a ST and a little less in the splash.

What this team needs is more Defenders

Im new to posting on the forums, so forgive me if this quote thing isnt done properly.

Chain Induction is more of a shame i how it operates, doing an accuracy check with each jump plus the speed to travels/jump to the next target is slow. When used with a KB it will fall short of the nearest target before the jumps even get a chance to complete. Would be nice if the speed at which the jump travels or area it can jump (since there is a target limit anyway) could be improved.

Welcome to the forums and you got the quoting correct!

Yeah, that's fair. I analize the combat logs after a night of playing and the first 2 jumps are adding up to much more than the last jumps. That's probably a combination of stuff dying before a jump gets to them and the distance aspect you mentioned. It would be nice if the jump moved a little faster!

I find Jacob's Ladder and Chain Induction to be underwhelming, but the rest of the set is quite good, IMHO.  Lightning Rod, in particular, does tremendous damage and the teleport is extremely useful.  I would like to see chain induction's damage and chain-speed upped quite a bit, and Jacob's Ladder's animation sped up significantly, as well as having its arc widened.
