So the second day into the double xp run, I had this idea.

The Praetorian origin is my favorite start for a character because I really dig the Praetorian storylines. That said, anyone who's done them knows it can be a challenge to go through even one of the arcs without outleveling them.

So I thought, why not lean into that?

I managed to make my way through the Crusder's arc. The only mission I missed was Wardog's final with the neutron bomb in the sewers. By that point I was level 20. Then I registered a supergroup, created a very makeshift base and put a Pillar of Ice and Flame in it. Then I went to the START vendor in Nova Praetoria and got 8 hours of 100% xp buff and started doing flashback missions. Just the Praetorian ones. Responsibility, Power, skip Crusader because I already did it, then Warden.

How far could I go? My hope was that I'd make it all the way through Neutropolis and have completed all four arcs before double xp ran out, but alas I was only able to complete the Responsibility in Neutropolis.

So in summary:

Nova Praetoria

-----------------

Crusader - double xp only

Responsibility - double xp, 100% buff

Power - double xp, 100% buff

Warden - double xp, 100% buff

Imperial City

--------------

Crusader - double xp only, except for Wardog's final mission which I did via flashback and had the 100% buff

Responsibility - double xp, 100% buff

Power - double xp, 100% buff

Warden - double xp, 100% buff

Neutropolis

-------------

Crusader - double xp only

Responsibility - double xp, 100% buff

-- double xp ended --

The result is I was able to get to Level 34 doing only Praetorian storyline missions.

I'm definitely going to finish out the Power and Warden storylines and see where I wind up just by earning regular xp. I haven't decided if I'm going to flashback First Ward and Night Ward at this point. Flashback missions are fun but it's weird leveling to 35 and being stuck at 9, 15, and 20 for most of it. Part of me wants to do the flashbacks before I leave Praetoria because once you do leave Praetoria all the Praetorians you meet  in later missions treat you as if you'd always been a Primal Earther, and some of these slammers oughta know better.

Ah, not all of them. There are a couple that remember you from Praetoria.  Not enough but a couple.

And it is possible to make it to 50 without leaving at all, though some on here decry that as "wrong".

For instance you can get to First Ward and later Night Ward without Flashback by going directly to First Ward either through a base or by the Imperial Underground. Mission-wise you will need to have gone there by about level 24 probably.

You can do the Summer Block Buster, half of which is set in an imaginary Praetorian Casino. You just need 3 others willing to start with you from PD/Any Praetorian zone/Echo Plaza.

The ToT events are possible in Nova to Neutropolis right now. If you've gone beyond the level of the zone just take an Ouro mission and ...don't do it.  Just knock on doors.

Later on it's possible to do the ITrials.  Thematically tricky if you're a Loyalist though! You have to start from PD/Any Praetorian zone/Echo Plaza.

The Cathedral of Pain trial can be done too. Again from those three named zones.

Belladonna Vetrano's arcs can be done via Ouro.

And for the more completist of thematic Praetorian players (me for instance!) I wrote three trilogies of "near canon" AEs set at levels 21-25, attempting to bridge the gap between Neutropolis and First Ward.  The fourth and final one isn't done.  (See signature for more info)

I don't care if people think it's wrong or not, leveling to 50 in Praetoria sounds awesome. 😄

Well now I need to make another character and level normally so I can go through those AE missions! I confess I don't pay enough attention to AE content.

Edited to add I knew about getting to First Ward via the Imperial tunnels, I have another character who started First Ward by going that route. Wish I'd known about your AE arcs before I tried to get him from 20-25 through tunnel hunting!

It's doable. And peaceful... bordering on lonely, but possible.

Things get tough for the last stretch (45-50), unless you factor in AE missions. If you do, check out Darmian's sig (the bloke who commented before me) for really good content and gold-side related stuff.
