I would love to see some new pool powers...in particular, I would love to see something like Sorcery but more tech based.  You could have flight, but with a jet-pack.  instead of Enflame, you could have some electric forcefield to cast on people or maybe cast a laser drone to follow people and add energy damage to all their attacks.

There were two power pools in development that were going to correspond to the Technology and Natural origins.  They were called "Gadgetry" and "Utility Belt".

At the moment they remain incomplete.  It's unclear if Homecoming is going to resume development on them (though I'm sure many hope they will, myself included).  If I recall correctly, they were in development back in the NCSoft days before the shutdown?

Personally, I'd like to see some sort of generic "small arms" power pool - give it a knife melee attack, a basic single pistol attack, and other such appropriate basic powers...

Not so much a new pool, but I'd like to see Martial Arts animations for the Fighting pool, and alternative animations for Sorcery that aren't necessarily magical.

Destruction: With reskinnable versions of Propel and Hurl that can be made into a tornado, geyser, flock of birds, swarm of insects, fish, sharknado, dark tentacles, kraken tentacles, dark matter dots, microbes, drones, telekinesis, nuke explosion, dynamite explosion, etc. so anyone can have fun causing property damage. Probably also include a melee energy attack or two.

Clairsentience: With astral projection, teammate and enemy cams, and self +Perception powers for all the psychic and technologically enhanced senses characters out there, and probably also a psionic melee power or two.

Blades: Include knife/shuriken/hatchet melee attacks, pummel attack, and single-target and AoE throwing attacks.

Sidearms: Pistol shot, pistol AoE shot, pistol pummel, mace bash, mace AoE bash. (Also good for people with Mace Mastery who don't get any of the attacks where you can hit someone with the mace and are just randomly carrying around a mace where you can only shoot someone with your mace laser, but can't hit someone. Please include all the Arachnos Mace skins and also the nightstick and bone skins at least.)

I really want to see swinging implemented into this game as a power pool, not as advanced as the Spider-Man games but you get the idea?

I think that was looked into before? Anyway, unless the swinging works in the way it does on Champions Online (which does not require anything to swing off or from), how would it even work in this game? (I'm not a fan of how swinging works in CO in case it isn't clear.)

Well, it wasn't perfect, but it's better than nothing.  As it is, my characters who SHOULD have swinging are stuck using Super Jump... effective, but kind of out of character.  There really aren't any "normal" travel powers.  Some kind of vehicles might be nice too... perhaps as some kind of transformation, similar to how the Kheldians work.

Gadgetry is still my number one most looked forward to power set. My main is all about smaller gadgets and technology and I will respec to use it the day it comes out.

As much as people here complain about Champions Online, I wouldn't mind if they copied some specific things like swinging, vehicles, and basically all of the costume part models if those things are possible. Champions Online is only bad because it's basically a hodgepodge of multiple cancelled games that supposedly just exists on the STO servers so it'll never die and only develops cosmetics and paid powers to try to get people to spend money. If all the cosmetics and some other things got moved over here and we could use them for free I don't see what the problem would be.

As for swinging, I think in this game it would have to work like a teleport except instead of teleporting your character it would try to physically sling them over. It would probably actually be way easier to implement swinging in this game than in CO, which also didn't have an actual teleport, just flying while invisible, because it was originally going to be a console game and has console game controls.

Swinging Power Pool:

Tactical Swing: Like Combat Teleport but with defense bonuses like Hover with different cosmetics

Swing: Regular long distance grappling hook type power with different cosmetics

Grapple: Like Teleport Target but it pulls them over to you and also has all the cosmetic options for other swinging powers (unlike Teleport Target which does not)

Ensnare: Targeted foe immobilize, -SPD, -RECH, -FLY, -JUMP

Restrain: Targeted foe hold, -SPD, -RECH, -FLY, -JUMP

Swinging works in someplace like Manhattan, but then you have this:

I'd like to see some Hero Side Patron Pools. It would probably be difficult to implement, but pools based around the powers of the Freedom Phalanx would be cool. Maybe throw on a Recluse and Veridian pool to even out the numbers.
