Thrawn007COH Posted Saturday at 04:50 AM Posted Saturday at 04:50 AM Just throwing this out there... What if proc enhancements scaled based on how many enhancements of the same set were slotted in the same power. For example: 1 = 50% effective 2= 60% effective 3 = 70% effective 4 = 80% effective 5 = 90% effective 6 = 100% effective What % effective means could be done multiple ways, whether it's a multiplier (for example a single slotted proc would do 50% of the damage of a proc with a full 6 set.) Or it could be a modifier on procs timings in some way. The point is that individual proc enhancements would benefit from keeping sets together vs proc bombs with multiple procs in a single power. 1 2
biostem Posted Saturday at 05:41 AM Posted Saturday at 05:41 AM I think, as you touched upon, the question then becomes just how good would using a full set be vs "proc-bombing". I agree that those specific values could be tweaked as needed or desired, but a more practical one is that you'd essentially have to rework all such IOs to check for and adjust, based upon how many others in the set are slotted... 1

Cupid's Crush already does that so they could probably do it with every other enhancement set in the game pretty easily if they decided it were a good option for balance. 2 <But life is change, that is how it differs from the rocks, change is its very nature.> — John Wyndham

Odd, to what end does CC do that?

"The magnitude of the confuse effect may increase based on the number of Cupid Crush enhancements slotted into the same power. Slotting the full set will add a 20% chance of an even greater confuse effect." - as pulled from the in-game description of the IO. 1

Thanks, i hadn't investigated the proc much outside of the admittedly out of date version of mids I'm using. Edited 16 hours ago by Chance Jackson
Psyonico Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago COD doesn't show exactly how it works, but it looks like there up a chance for up to an additional mag 1.5 confuse https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=boosts.attuned_cupids_crush_f.attuned_cupids_crush_f What this team needs is more Defenders
dukedukes Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago (edited) Set affinities with procs would be decent but the option of fully proc'ing a power should still be possible as well as optimal for damage, but if the set proc affinity brought set builds closer to proc builds in terms of damage I'd be cool with that. The thing with build creation right now is it's actually in a great state. There's a solid trade-off between proc'ing a power and chasing set bonuses. I think that balance is something we should maintain. Edited 17 hours ago by dukedukes 1 1
