Janet Kellum - Ambush by wrong Faction

So, this has happened a couple of times now. 

Scenario: Janet Kellum's story arc. 

I'll leave my base to go to the next mission and I'll get ambushed. The first time it happened, since it was Malta, and not Crey, I just figured it was someone else's ambush (level 43 malta don't normally hang out in Talos). 

This next time, in IP, more Malta. 

 

So, I was expecting the ambush, but I was expecting Crey, not Malta again. 

No idea if this is repeatable, as I haven't outleveled the contact to try it again. And it's really not a big deal - just reporting it.

Hiya.  So, first off - thi sis the Wiki... while we have a pretty good community to keep it up to date and accurate for most things, it isn't 100% infallible.  There are still errors in it.

 

I have a toon that just so happened to be on this arc with Janet Kellum, so I caught up to where you are are to see if I get the same thing.  I've noticed this:

• Prior to where you noted the issue... You Rescue Howard Quigley and are supposed to be ambushed by Malta - I got ambushed by Crey.
• You then are supposed to do 3 mish's each getting a copy of the CreyComp code
  • After the 2nd mish, you supposedly get ambushed by Malta after the 2nd.  I got ambushed by Nemesis
  • After the 3rd mish, you supposedly get ambushed by Crey.  I got no one.  I waited around for it.  Moved to a more open spot too.  Nothing.  Not even after zoning.  
• You take CreyComp to Justine Kelly in IP for her to "analyze."
• Call contact and she tells you Justine is ready with findings - you're supposed to get a Malta Ambush - I got nothing.  I even moved away from the AE building so they would not get droned.  Zoned and still no ambush.
• Talking to Justine Kelly again, you're supposed to get ambushed by Nemesis - again, I got nothing.
• Getting the virus from Justine, you're supposed to get ambushed by Malta yet again - I got nothing (again) - this is probably the AMBUSH you keep geetting.
• But then accepting the mission from Justine to deliver the virus, is the Crey ambush that you note above.  - I did not get this ambush either.

So, clearly not entirely accurate on the ambushes.

 

If you're looking for a reason why Malta ambushes at all - Countess Crey reported you to the authorities and there's an APB out on you.  Malta would certainly pick up on that and would love to have any excuse to take you (and other heroes) down.
