StrikerFox Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Smite, Siphon Life, Soul Drain and Midnight Grasp for DM; everything, except for Elude, for SR. Try to get enough recharge to make Soul Drain perma. Also enough rech to run MG-Sm-SL-Sm-repeat attack chain.
Nightmarer Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Before going for recharge, you should make sure you hit the defense softcap (45%) to all positions. The best attack chain is indeed MG-Sm-SL-Sm and with the 20% extra rchg from quickness plus the LoTG 7.5% rchg you can easily allocate should be doable plus you can also get some decent S/L resistance as well. I would also recommend getting more AoE dmg from Pool Powers (Cross Punch, Spring Attack...) and from Epic Pools (Fire Ball, Ball Lightning...). Also, I know many people are against Shadow Maul but if you use it correctly and well positioned, is a decent cone despite its long animation.

Nightmarer Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 (edited) My DM/Bio is softcapped to Nrg/Neg/Fire/Cold instead of S/L, for whish I am dmg res cap (75%) and performs suprisingly good for such a cheap build (only 1 attuned set). Heraclea Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 (edited) I generally don't make hitting soft caps a total priority for a Dark Melee character. All of your single target attacks and Shadow Maul do -tohit on the mobs, which is the moral equivalent to defense against those mobs. But if you are /SR softcapping is so easy that there's no reason not to. I would also consider Touch of Fear a must take power for similar reasons. It has the biggest debuff of all of your attacks and is reliable control.
