You Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 How good is Time on a MM? What pets does it go with best? And can Chrono Shift be make perma? Thanks!
SinergyX Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Its a very good set, both for your pets as for teamplay (ally +recharge etc). 360 over 90 sec duration, we're talking 300% recharge you need to make it perma. If you get hasten to perma, you got mere few seconds of Chronoshift, that's well enough :)
You Posted May 7, 2019 Author Posted May 7, 2019 Thanks! I am debating with myself as to whether to make a Demon/Kin or Demon/Time. How does /Kin compare to /Time on a MM?
Tigress Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 /Kin feels useful from the very start. Its got something nice and useful at every level. For me, /Time felt likea waste of such at first. Even the heal is (also at first) far less powerful. However for me, Time shows its true beauty at levels 16, 28, 35 and 38. I find /Kin much easier to play, but /Time more versatile and more rewarding in the end.
You Posted May 7, 2019 Author Posted May 7, 2019 Yes. /Time does feel like it will require a lot of investment to make it work well - e.g. +recharge to make CS more often. I had a /Kin corr before the close down. It feels great along the way of levelling up.
Rathys (SC) Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 It's probably the best all around MM secondary, especially paired with bots for the free protector bot shield. Great buffs, debuffs, and defense softcap for smash/lethal/energy in incarnate content (with bots shield), and defense cap for everything in normal content. You can probably even get def soft capped in incarnate content without the bots shield, but it will take some IO set trickery. With how easy it is to get "rare" IOs with merits now, /time is better than ever since it honestly doesn't take much to get it beefed out. Perma hasten and perma Crono Shift is easily possible with 5 LotG procs and a few set bonuses and agility alpha incarnate (easily obtainable in Homecoming). Don't even need purple or PvP IOs to accomplish any of it. With purples you could probably even drop the agility alpha for something else. It won't buff damage as much as /kin, but it also pairs well with a /kin because all of the recharge buffs from time makes the damage buffs from /kin that much more powerful. The only real drawback of /time is that it's a bit of a late blooming set and requires power boost from mace mastery epic pool to get the most benefit out of Farsight, and also a bit of IOs before it's powerful. Some other sets feel super powerful out of the gate. But if you're looking for an end game farming/AV soloing/group all around strong MM, it's hard to beat /time.
