(Cross-posting to help out you beautiful people)

Since many of the Phantom Gladiator parts are recolor variations of existing parts, it was frustrating to find a lot of them. For example, it took me forever to figure out that the Gladiator Belt is a Retro belt option. When other new costume parts have dropped, we got a list of where they were in the Tailor menu. Since we didn't get one for these parts, I'll list the parts that are variations, i.e. don't have their own slot in the menu. Some are obvious, others not so much.

    * Parts will display as 'Phantom Gladiator' after the variation has been selected.

    Phantom_Gladiator_Belt: Upper Body > Belt > Retro

Phantom_Sybil_Belt: [Female] > Upper Body > Sybil Tight/Sybil With Skin > Belt > Roman Sybil

Phantom_Greaves: Lower Body > Boots > Roman Greaves

Phantom_Vambraces: Upper Body > Gloves > Roman Vambraces

    Phantom_Half_Helmet: Head > Half Helmets > Valkyrie

    Phantom_Gladiator_Shoulders: Upper Body > Shoulders > Gladiator

Phantom_Pauldrons: Upper Body > Shoulders > Roman Pauldrons

The rest of the pieces are listed as their own piece in the appropriate category (Helmet Detail, Chest Detail, Kilts / Shorts).

  2. I support this suggestion after rereading through your responses. I originally thought you were asking to make badges purchaseable *that weren't already*. I was mistaken!

And that is countered by we can already purchase the badges in question and there are already threads asking to be able to just buy other badges, especially accolades. I am very much opposed to adding to the array of badges we can purchase. I am of the opinion badges should be earned by the character getting the badges by doing the content. Especially in the case of accolades which at least one previous thread has asked to be able to purchase. Expanding the window in which something that can already be purchased is available for purchase does not open the door to requests for more badges to be purchasable.

This suggestion has nothing to do with badges that must be earned by doing content. It is only about badges that can already be purchased and requires no actual game play to get.

Edit: So the suggestions you and @Glacier Peak are concerned will start happening if this is implemented already get asked for. Kind of hard for this to lead to that starting when it has already happened.

  3. It took me six years to get those on my one and only badger. I play on Indomitable. I don't show up every night to iTrials, but I made a concerted effort this past summer to do so and eventually was able to get those badges. 10PM ET are daily iTrials. We attempt RHW Saturdays, once a month I believe. This past summer we ran RHW three times in a row and badged every time.

Edit: Oh and we're running it this Saturday, 22 November. I think around 4pm ET? Hope on over and ask in LFG about the RHW attempt and someone should be able to give you the exact time.

Hmmm.  @ScarySai, I am watching that video watching you put up of the solo character +4/8 content (based on the mob size I am seeing and level 55) and to be quite honest, it doesn't look like it sucks.  Looks like you are plowing through mobs at an amazing pace.  Is suck code for something else, becuase I would love to suck like that.

Absolutely melting Level 55 mobs. That's awesome.

Except it isn't. The requirement for the Exultant badge was to log in the game between 11 AM ET on Saturday May 1, 2010 and 11:59 PM ET on Monday May 31, 2010. If you did not log into the game during that window, you missed the opportunity to get that anniversary badge on that character. And yet we can go to Luna every year and buy the badge from her for 100 Reward Merits. That badge's window of opportunity is gone. And yet we can still go back and buy it.

I'm in favor of removing the purchase ability entirely, if that's your argument.

We can have 1,000 characters per server. And for players that collect badges and play lots of alts, that is a constantly growing problem of accessibility.

If a player can get the badge on one character, they can get them on all their characters. Outsiders of Praetorian locked badges.

Back on Live when we could have 48 characters per server, and only if we bought the expanded character slots? Getting limited access badges was much less difficult. There are players with hundreds of alts as opposed to Live's 48. Surely some allowance for players with lots of alts can be accommodated?

Alts are not a persuasive argument to me to change the requirement.

The issue I have with this argument is that the only badges I am talking about are badges we can already purchase. The request isn't expanding what badges can be purchased. I wholeheartedly agree with you on not expanding what badges can be purchased. However, anniversary and winter badges can already be purchased. All I am asking for is an expanded window for those with lots of alts to do what the game already allows.

Oh that actually makes sense. That would satisfy myself because I could choose not to purchase the badges outside of the window of the event and players who want the badges could do so if they so desired.

You might be changing my mind.

  6. Homecoming listens to feedback.

I've never seen in any other free game, (let alone in any paid game), someone from the development team respond to a reported bug or issue in real time, post a patch to fix it, then re-engage with the person who reported it to check if that issue was resolved. That's insane by itself, but add in that neither myself or the developer are paid to do either of those things and we both have other obligations, and it's a miracle to me. It might even be foolish because now that's the standard that I expect working with the Homecoming Team - but it works both ways. I'm not going to waste their time with garbage knee jerk patch note rants because there are plenty of posters who do that already in these forums and Discord. They should expect from me, and anyone else who participates in testing, the same level of passion and effort that players expect of them.

    And that's my opinion.

  7. I don't support a year round purchase ability.

If the requirement for a badge is that a player logs in at certain time of year in order to receive the badge, that is the requirement.

I worry that if this change were to be implemented, other badges that have requirements that aren't convenient for players would be looked at to become purchased instead of meeting those requirements as well. Slippery slope as it were.

  8. The premise of this thread is baffling to me. The original poster has been responded to directly and publicly by more members of the Homecoming Team than any other poster on these forums during this Page 3 open beta. They've been directly quoted and received explicit confirmation that their feedback was read by members of the Homecoming Team. The actual lead powers developer responded directly, multiple times, in this very thread. And yet they still continue to say they aren't being listened to?

  9. Since the new Labyrinth changes are now on Open Beta, I am announcing that once published to the Live shards, I will reset the High Scores. This is due to the changes in the Font of Malevolence experience (and new tactics!) that are likely to occur due to these changes. For posterity, I will keep the previous High Scores on the original post for everyone to remember how awesome we were!

That is somewhat difficult because of the Praetorian badges, you would see badges your character can never earn. There's no clean way for the game to know the difference between a badge you haven't earned, and one you cannot earn.

Understand that I have no idea what is possible with game code, but could there be a check for Praetorian Son/Daughter in that situation? If yes, show all badges flagged praetorian, if no, don't show?
