    What are your favorite Dark Armor builds?

    I have a dark/MA. Once the tanker resistance proc hits, and storm kick, I've got capped defenses and resists. Tack on dark regen, and you will not die.  End is not an issue on my build. It's a pretty fun build. It might just be me though as I like the kick animations.

    Check and see if you have DNA Siphon and Parasitic Aura clicked on. As was stated, Parasitic can add a LOT of regen based on # of targets hit. 

     I also think some of my enhancements are boosted.

     

    And I now have like 5 Staffers...Staff may not be considered the "best" or the most damaging,  but it is just FUN. And with the Tanker's added ranges/targets, you hit everything. I think my favorite Staffer is my Staff/Bio brute (although Fire/Staff tank has DOTs for DAYS).

    With the way teams stesmroll most everything,  it makes me wonder...is Rad dead? On Live, Radiation Emission was soooo welcomed and loved. Nowadays, it seems like Noone goes with Rad bc of the fast pace, and by the time your debuffs are thrown out most everything is already dead.

     I was toying with the idea of having the absolute most debuffs (Necro/Rad?) but now I'm unsure. What have you all seen/experienced?

    I'm determined to make a brute that I enjoy playing, while being as sturdy as possible. NOT for farming, but actual gameplay (insanity!).

      I'm torn between the following:

    Claws/Bio

    Ice/Electric 

     

    I know I do not want to try Dark Armor, Invuln,or SR. I had a katana/bio brute and wasn't that impressed with it. 

     

    I'm leaning towards the ice/electric.  Looks like resists to everything except N.Energy and Toxic can be capped. I also like having the heal and damage aura. Any thoughts on this combo?

     

    My thought process on a brute is that I need capped defenses or resists (or as close as possible), a damage aura, and a heal. I'll let Fury help with the damage output. With Electric,  it hits the resist caps, has the damage aura, and a heal. Ice melee seems like it's pretty good (had a tank before), plus you don't see a while lot of Ice Meleers.

     

    Open to thoughts, suggestions on builds, and any other suggestions . Appreciate it.

    I made a wp/staff tank bc I wanted an "all natural " toon. He's fun. I love the "toggle and forget" aspect of WP. And Staff, regardless of what everyone said, I found to be very fun. LOTS of DoTs.  May not be the most damaging set, but I like seeing all the orange numbers fly.

    Never tried Savage Melee. Tips?

    Greetings all!

      It's time, once again, for a new tank. I'm going Stone Armor (bc I haven't played it since Live), and thought I'd pair it with Savage Melee (which I've never played).

     Anyone have any tips or suggestions on Savage Melee? Powers to definitely take or skip? Slotting advice?

     Appreciate it!

    Thanks.  Actually smaller than my old case (antec 900). It does have lots of room. Couldn't really afford bumping up to 64gb or more of ram, amd I'm not all that into the rgb .

     I will say , it is fast. Extremely fast. Wish I could have gotten a better graphics card, but I wasn't about to drop $1k+ on a card that should only cost $400-$500.

    Dark Armor / War Mace

    It goes without saying, get all the end procs when you can (Panacea, miracle,  numina, performance shifter). Slot a theft of the essence:chance for end in Dark Regen.

     I have a Dark/MA tank, and don't really have any end issues at all.

    Necro/dark is powerful.  So much -to hit! And Fearsome Stare is awesome.

    Just as the title says...

     

     What combo do you have the most fun with, and why?

     

     For me, it's probably my Mercs/Storm. 

     

    Now, I know...I know. Mercs suck tho! Well....yeah, their damage is below par. But, I've got Achilles' Heel:chance for resistance debuff, and a couple other procs thrown in there. That REALLY helps.

     And Storm....storm is just...fun. I feel like I do best on a team while fighting AVs. Storm seems to put out pretty good damage.

     Overall,  it's not my BEST MM,  but definitely the most fun.

    PSi Melee Looking for Input/Ideas

    @Warboss, you said the journey to 50 wasn't the most fun you've had...is that due to Ice Armor, or Psi Melee?

      I have an Ice Armor/Electric tank, and it's pretty darn stout. I've not played Psi Melee, so I was wondering what your thoughts (and anyone else that wants to chime in) on Psi are.

    I've yet to play Savage Melee...I've heard good and bad things about it. I've done Rad Melee, Electric Melee, Staff, MA on tanks. I've not done Claws on a tank either.

      It's not going to be for farming. I was thinking the more AoE, the more taunt I can get.

     If one of your powers, which is a DoT, crits, does the initial "hit" crit, or does it AND the ticks afterwards also crit? I was thinking of starting a Staffer and wasn't sure.

     This is how I built mine. Those stats are NOT with any Incarnates/Accolades/etc etc.

     

    With Storm Kick and the Superior Might Of The Tanker Proc, this gives you:

     I think in your build you would be good. However, here's a few thoughts:

    - I didn't see the Panacea Proc (maybe I overlooked it?). 

    - Dark Regen really doesn't need that many slots (unless you are just chasing a set bonus)

    - I feel like Oppressive Gloom needs Absolute Amazement...maybe the chance for to hit debuff, accy/stun/recharge, and end/stun. I used to run it on mine, but I got tired of the baddies stumbling away from me (if my Cloak of Fear didn't keep them in place). So I dropped it and picked up Focus Chi for a bit more damage output.

     

     There's a few Alphas that could be useful....Agility for the end, more defense buffs and recharge. Or Cardiac for reducing end cost,increase range, damage resistance, and Fear. Then there's always Musc for damage output and end mod.

     

     I've found mine to be fun and pretty much unkillable. Hope you enjoy the set!
