  1. Correct. Farmers supplying the market with goods is positive for the economy. Usage of converters to increase the availability of high-value goods is also positive for the economy. On the flipside: Anything producing too much raw influence is not good for the economy.
  2. Sorry, typo. That was meant to be "wasn't intended".
  3. The exemplar option was added when they changed Exemplaring to not completely disable XP gain when Super Sidekicking was added to the game. It was there to preserve the ability to not earn XP for lower level content for those that wanted it. It still does this. Again, it wasn't intended as a means to aid in influence farming and it certainly wasn't intended to be abused for level 49 farms.
  4. The feature (disabling XP) was designed to allow you to complete arcs without outlevelling contacts. It still does that.
  5. Honestly not sure. Either way, yes it is definitely a bug - but an exploitable one. And definitely one most people weren't even aware they were using (or not using) hence us not wanting to draw attention to it by having this discussed before the change went live. Edit: Six with the answer 3 posts up!
  6. For clarity (buried on page 2):
  7. We recently became aware of this - investigating now. Seems some of the secondary services didn't wake up properly when the servers went live.
  8. This isn't the case. We want to encourage all playstyles, rather than farming being a necessity. We covered this in our open letter all the way back in May of last year. In brief: Our goal is for all playstyles be valid, worthwhile and enjoyable. That's what we're working towards.
  9. This is handled by a separate service that seems to be offline - thanks for letting us know. Looking into it.
  10. We're definitely not done when it comes to rewards. And speaking of price caps: This is actually intentional. Reward Merits don't result in cost inflation for everyone, they increase supply and act as a price capping mechanism for pretty much everything.
  11. To clarify - were you experiencing the above before or after you got a fresh copy of the arc?
  12. Thanks - we're looking into it. Seems some arcs are working and others aren't. @eknudsonThe blue number means you're at the cap.
  13. Nope. Which shard were you playing on and what's the arc ID?
  14. Simply using a level 49 map itself was not an exploit, but was an abuse of the system, which is why it was eventually going to be removed. The exploit was the use of Patrol XP with this option turned on - your influence income increased dramatically without consuming the Patrol XP - and I have no doubt that many players were making use of this without being aware at all. Just fixing that alone would've resulted in a big income drop for farmers, but as this feature was simply not healthy for the game we opted to remove it. Again, you need to consider this change in the context of it impacting everyone. Your income may have dropped, but so has the overall input of influence into the economy. Those who were not making use of this exploit (unwittingly or not) will not actually experience any change in their buying power long-term.
  15. The imbalance wasn't in the market though - it was in the means of earning currency.
  16. Long-term your (slightly smaller amount of) influence earned from normal play will be worth more as there will be far less influence being generated by those level 49 missions (and the related exploit).
  17. It is actually something we've considered. Right now the account matching and issuing of prizes has to all be done manually so we didn't want to have too many individual prizes. If we figure out a way to automate it in the future then we likely will have consistent rewards for reaching certain thresholds each month.
  18. Correct - but everyone else is on the same playing field, so the net difference if you weren't abusing level 49 missions is zero.
  19. It's been requested to split this into a separate topic as it was drowning out all other discussion in the other thread. Please use this thread to discuss the change described below rather than the patch notes thread. The following change was omitted from the beta patch notes due to a related exploit: Influence gain can no longer be increased by disabling XP We’ve made this change to reduce the influence income gap between players who farm and those that do not. The amount of additional influence gained by abusing level 49 missions simply wasn’t healthy for the overall economy of the game, and generally unfair towards those who play standard level 50 content instead of farming. Additionally, there were various exploits that could be abused in order to further increase influence gain through this option. Overall, we concluded it was best to remove the mechanic. Even with this change farming is still far more efficient than every other method of influence gain.
  20. Reunion actually remained online the entire time - all alone, with nobody able to connect to it 😞 When it reconnected to the rest of the network the server status service didn't pick it up. We've just restarted it so it should be all good now!
  21. @Blueridger@JayboHNot able to replicate this. It followed me both through zones, into indoor areas of zones, and into missions. Are you able to replicate this reliably with a specific door?
  22. Oops! It seems we've been spending a bit too much time in Ouroboros this month...
