  1. Was it this group? https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Fareed_Abdullah
  2. Nothing screams superhero video game like trading stocks.
  3. Sorry to bump such an old posting but was this ever fixed? I ask this because I'm considering a blue side run where I max out a contact from each stature level group: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Stature_Levels
  4. For most of these stature contacts, is there any way to complete them once you've outleveled them? It seems they don't appear on Ouroboros.
  5. If only they'd further diversify the server locations...
  6. I'm surprised this still isn't a thing, especially considering that hairless models already exist.
  7. I'd be willing to pay a monthly fee, though I don't know if the license allows for that.
  8. Now that the game has been officially licensed, does that mean that the developers have access to the software to create original costume assets? If so, could those tools be made available to the community? I ask this because I can bet there are tons of people who would be thrilled to independently develop some amazing new costume pieces and donate them to the game.
  9. If you made a west coast server, there are many people who could much more easily play the game. I'm playing from Asia and have an average of 300 ping at any given time. There are four servers in North America. Why do they all need to be in the same place? If you opened even one west coast server, it would probably become the most popular server.
  10. Please, please, please keep it on the west coast! There are so many people who will have an easier time playing CoH if only there were a west coast server!
  11. So I got this news from the January 18th announcement which followed the official license. ^ And this is the specific reference. I'm just hoping they make it a West Coast server! My latency would drop from 250-300 to around 150-200!
  12. Does anyone know where the new server(s) will be located? As a person playing from Asia, I'm very hopeful that the new servers (Victory, possibly Paragon) will be located on the west coast as that will improve my latency dramatically.
  13. I'd make some of the older power effects match the visual quality of the newer ones. For example, Time Manipulation looks noticeably better than most of the older power sets.
  14. At the absolute best, 290. This is rare. At worst, 400+ Anything above ~350 basically freezes the game.
  15. Yes that's correct, I'm using a VPN and rely on it every day. Nearly all of the world's most popular websites are blocked by the Great Firewall. I'm terms of using a VPN to better access CoH, I've tried lots of different server connections and they don't make a difference. The distance is just too great.
  16. It has nothing to do with my system, or the server capabilities. It has to do with me living 7,000 miles away from the servers. I'm in Shanghai, China. All but one of the servers are located in eastern Canada. The other is in Germany. I'm asking about opening a server which would be physically located in the west coast of North America. I've played several MMOs which have servers located in California and my latency averages between 130-200, which isn't ideal but is totally playable.
  17. Forgive me if this is already a thing, but is there any possibility that superbases could be linked to individuals and not supergroups? I know it's not hard to make your own supergroup + base, but I would love to be in a supergroup with others while not having to share the same base as them. From what I understand, this design choice was originally made due to storage limitations, but it seems that's not an issue anymore.
  18. Opening a west coast server while merging old servers is not that crazy when you think about it, and in fact there are a lot of potential benefits to it: - By opening a west coast server, you're now making the game available to a huge part of the world which otherwise can't easily play it. It would definitely bring an influx of players. - Torchbearer and Indominable have very low populations. The populations are so low that it's hard to even get into a DFB group. Think of how unenticing that is for new players. If they merged with Everlasting then they'd have solid population numbers. - Hardly anyone plays Torchbearer and Indominable so the naming thing shouldn't be that bad. - If people feel sensitive about the Torchbearer name disappearing, then just give the merged server the Torchbearer name. - Excelsior and Reunion (EU) would of course be left alone.
  19. I've put some thought into that. What if they merged three of the low population servers into one and then opened a west coast server? Net minus one server.
  20. I know there are many players who live in Asia or Oceania who would really love to play on a west coast server. As an expat living in Asia, I often really struggle with lag. On a very good day, the latency is about 290, but it often has moments when it exceeds 400. 290 is surprisingly playable, but when it gets over 400, you're basically frozen. I've tried many servers including Reunion but had the same results. Is there any chance this is in the cards?
  21. Because I'm an OCD perfectionist and hate seeing incomplete contacts on my list.
  22. To see a lot more great examples, check out this list! https://www.pcgamer.com/AI-upscale-mod-list/ Considering that so many retro games can already be modded, I bet it could be done in CoH with just a little technical ingenuity.
  23. For the kind of upscaling that I posted in the example, there doesn't need to be a change in monitor resolution. What they did is simply take the original texture files and have the AI clean them up. In terms of performance, the only difference is that the texture loading times will slightly increase, but it shouldn't even be noticeable on modern PCs.
