As the title suggests, I have a theme going. I just made him and ran a quick DFB. I liked it but having no experience I'm not sure where to take it. My idea is to be a group oriented build rather than solo, however I inevitably tend to solo more due to my hours. Can you help Captain Toxic Planet be all he can be? Please? 🙂

Thank you kindly 🙂 I've read so many recommendations to your builds and I wasn't able to view a single one. I guess I snapped I do have a question. I used Mystic flight as well, mostly because it also can have defense slotted. Is this a viable alternative to Combat Jumping? Seems like I could use it much like hover but with a higher top speed if it hits the fan, if you know what I mean.

I've just started again and made a Rad Melee/ Fire this morning. I tried an old tactic from back when I played on live and it still works a charm. Even better now, actually. Level your baby Hero to 7. Make sure to build the character to be aggressive at that level. By this I mean, Damage forward. I went with this ( see Mids build ) however I used the P2W items - powers and Enhancements. I put the knockdown one in Contaminated Strike - Psi into Radioactive Smash and a Lethal into Brawl. I set Brawl to auto attack. The P2W enhancements will take the place of an attack enhancement in the mids build. Grab a couple 2X Exp buffs from her and off you go. At 7 head to Kings Row, run to the AE building and head up the elevator, then down the stairs. In the terminal in the search field type Tunnel Witches and hit play. Select Architect Rewards then talk to the witch standing by the beam. Head in, You are now level 2 again 🙂 Turn on your sprints of choice ( I use Athletic and Surge together ) Hug the left wall and run to the end and run near to the white and black fellow the immediately head to the back wall by the fire. He will attempt to attack the witches ( which is doable but not ideal ) You want him to buff you then start at the obvious Witch. They are marginally staggered so it should be easy to tell which to take down. His heals are fantastic. My rotation at lvl7 is simple as it gets - CS -> Rad -> CS -> CS -> Rad. Very occasionally you'll need to Heal. When you reach the end you should have enough Mission Architect tickets (found in the salvage tab) to buy an Invention Salvage ( the orange ones ) It will take 540 tickets per. After purchase it will be in your salvage tab as well. Head to Wellingtons, talk to a person - open your salvage tab and drag the item you just bought to the indicated place in the window. Hit FIND in item window below ( There will be one above as well ) put a 1 in the field and post. It should immediately sell. Go to the sold tab and get all inf. You should have made between 250 and 450k depending on the market. By Blue Steel go to the vendor and slot all your powers. Head back to the AE building to rinse and repeat; except you will now change it to a +1 and 8. To do this you simply hit the little chat bubble to the right of your text bar and go to the appropriate parameters you wish. You will level exceedingly fast, get enough cheddar to keep your basic slots = to level and that's about it. Make sure to turn off Blazing aura when you make your way to get your healer. 🙂 Trust me on this one . . . . I used to keep the hero at lvl 7 and just rake in the tickets but this time I've leveled her as I go. The powers that are active in the mission ( all those to 6 plus the level 7 slots ) can be further slotted and it will count in the mission. I made level 20 in about 1.5 hours with fully upgraded to level enhancements and 1.2 mil inf. in my pocket. Hope this helps! Dr. Curie Firefarm lvl 7 - Brute (Radiation Melee - Fiery Aura).mbd

I don't mind buffing, really. Just as long as we are an effective team. I am curious though, how effective is the G. Sentinel? Seems a little iffy in the description. The other option I was toying with was Fire/Kin.

I will gladly accept any and all advice from a person with Taco in their name 😄 Thank you so very much!

Hello and thank you ahead of time! My brother and a friend are making a 3 team group to make a nice run front to back of the game. I've been playing again for a few weeks and am wanting to lean in a bit of a different direction. I've set myself a few guidelines that will likely make this a non min/max'd character. I'm Absolutely thrilled about this! I usually min/max myself into a frenzy so this is going to cause me mental anguish... lovely. But I digress 🙂 My brother has a Bio/SS tanker Our friend has a Rad/Rad Defender My thought was consistent damage, layered support centered around assisting the tank, and having the blue stuff to make it happen full time. Key notes: Stealth seems an odd choice. It's thematic but can be used for DEF as I understand it so maybe it's not a wasted pick and is certainly quality of life for some missions for the team. I've taken a lot of defense. I'm going to admit ignorance on the effectiveness of it protecting me if I over-blast the MT's taunt ability. I didn't slot because again, I'm just not conversant enough with the enhancements to understand what it is I need. So a bare bones frame for you to pick over, if you would. So very much appreciated! Thank you kindly. This helps me to understand what is going where. I have so much to relearn. Half of the terms you mentions I'm not familiar with. Attune? Soulbound? I'm heading to the wiki now so I wont take up any more of your time but I appreciate you!

What would a typical build look like for a /Time Thug? A poor man's version since I'm broke as a joke and it ain't even funny.

Thanks kindly to you both. The Ice Dark corrupter sounds interesting. Scourge, this is a potential for a dps burst? Does the extra damage outweigh the defensive buffs I give my brother? I know a support role is generally light on DPS, but I also am woefully ignorant of all the changes in Homecoming so I really appreciate the input. I was reading on the forums that some folks use their MM's as a sort of healer. I'm not sure what powers they took but I don't think my Robots/Time can do that. I will say I've had an absolute blast playing it though. I've only just hit 25 and it seems like he's a steamroller. Again, thank you!

Longest title evar! Amirite? Seriously though, like it says my brother and I are returning after more than a decade away. We were in Beta but SO much has changed! We're both geezers (well north of 50) as well so looking for, not easy mode but something less "clicky" if possible. I've been playing MM a lot, but wanted something different for a duo experience. I dig healing - on Live I was the nut who played a Emp/Illusion controller and loved him if that's any indication. My brother loves melee. On Live he was a WP/SS tanker. What my thoughts are: Heals ( duh ) Buffs Debuffs Slows AOE CC Thinking maybe Leadership and Sorcery ( like 99% on Ldr .. sorc I have no idea but the O.Shiz spirit ward, mystic flight and enflame look intriguing. ) Thanks kindly for any advice.

I'm absolutely loving my Radiation Emission Water Blast Defender. Water compliments Rad very well. All the knock downs (ups) and debuffs + Buffs = too much fun. So far pick up groups have loved me. Rad inf and Lingering Rad crush mobs defenses. Water Burst and Geyser keeps them on their butts and Whirlpool is just insult to injury. Add in Leadership (Vengeance), teleport (recall friend) and Power Mastery (Power Build-up) to be disgusting if an ally falls (Fallout). EM pulse is a wicked hold. Neutron Moderator is his name.

Play style and proper planning can make up for lacks in a set. I mained (sic) Willpower/Stone Melee. While Stones taunt is marginally less than other tankers the proliferation of knockdowns and holds more than makes up for it in my experience. I've never understood why this facet of Stone melee is overlooked. It's always an apples to apples look at Taunt alone. That is an egregious mistake. I main tanked all content in end game without issue. I soloed most content endgame without issue. Before I had the ungodly influence build out I ended the game with ( or rather the game ended 😞 ) It was challenging ( read: fun! ) after it was still fun , but frankly boring at times too. I never felt like Stone Melee needed a rethink. Any changes to taunt would have made it the "obvious choice" instead of the hidden gem it always was. I agree Willpower needs to be in the second tier. It is fantastic, but isn't "defensively tanky" enough to be top tier. With stone melee, however, they were a very synchronous combination. If they were on their butts they couldn't hit you, minimizing the lesser defensive numbers. Only my opinion. I can't make you change your minds. You wont change mine because I had 5 years of my guy under my belt. Just something to consider.

Not gonna lie, I had a hell of a time duo-ing my Willpower/Staff Tanker with a Robotics/Time Master Mind. With all the defense, controlling and healing there just wasn't anything that could touch us. The hardest part was all the damn noise the bot's make. Odd combo, but was about as fun as it gets for me.
