Albuquerque, New Mexico in the southwest region of the US. And yes, the very southern tip of the Rockies. It is more of a desert climate than mountainous. A magical place!

Thanks for your witty and thorough recap. I'm still mad that I missed it. 😠 I am needing extra rest and sleep to combat altitude sickness, and wasn't expecting to wake up and feel so icky. I slept 2 more hours and then felt terrific and had a great day.

Thank you! I am having a fantastic birthday trip. Had an intense winter experience yesterday on top of the mountain, and today going for a sunset hot air balloon flight. 🎈

Nytemayre mostly soloed her way to 21 with that wolf rifle during winter event, then got to 27 with theme team. I chose to build from the ground up to really get a feel for the rifle attacks vs. the mace. In The Before Time, my bane spider only got to the 30s so it'll be fun having a new experience leveling her to 50 and beyond. The concept is really exciting to me being mostly melee stalker with some ranged attacks from the same weapon, plus all the support goodies for my team.

Ah yes, I know what you mean. Those goth eyes have the long teardrop shape. I have only ever used that one time, and it was on live, for a fire/dark brute named Burnt Sorrow. It reminds me of her so I've never been able to re-use it on any others! Now, 'dark eyes' I have used a LOT. I love it. And oh my, does he look dashing! 😍

My apologies again for oversleeping! I think I turned my alarm off in a daze 😆 well better for that to happen for a game rather than a job! I appreciate you all so much, and @TrixieKixx and @TraumaTrain, thanks again for messaging me, and getting the group to come back for me. Nytemayre is a relatively new toon, and although I have a level 50 crab spider, I don't feel like doing the build switcheroo, so wanted to have a whole new character for my bane spider. Plus there is that costume glitch with the spider legs. She got from 21 to 27 in the TF so now can do her bane path respec.

Nice. I'm going to try it. I imagine my methodical usage of F-key for melee combat would keep me down at ground level. I have to do it for my sentinels, as well, for their combat auras, and they are always in hover for combat.

I am fascinated by your Flambe dude, that he appears to be hovering all the time! I have never tried playing a brute with hover. What's it like? Or is it some other effect and just looks like hover?

So glad to hear your 2 weeks off was relaxing. We all need more of that in our lives. I am available tomorrow for Theming. I have lots of melee characters who could do both TFs. Brute or Tanker or Scrapper (and to lesser extent, Stalker), so you name it and I'll be there!

For Saturday theme event 12/16, I'm in for doing what we did last week. I haven't had a chance to play much at all this week, and looking forward to having some free time tomorrow. I really don't need any more Lady Winter missions or LW's Realm trials, but there are a few more Frozen Fury I'd like to get if anyone feels like making a spawn WL team. And of course happy to join in on any winter event thing! Because, well.... my spreadsheet always has cells that need to be filled 😄

I noticed that as well that Atlas Park was wintery a couple of days before they turned on the event at server reset. I don't mind that Homecoming did not make a splash screen announcement like they did for Halloween event. I'm grateful for everything they do. It seems that this year they focused their time on the other event, even adding five new badges, while winter event has the recycled login badge and nothing new. I don't care, I am having fun getting all the badges on my new characters!

I think it's kind of interesting that the License to Chill badge is granted for characters logging on this event who did not log on during winter event 2021. So technically License to Chill is also the 2022 log-on badge for the event, but only if you didn't already get it last year. It seems as if they just recycled the 2021 event log-on badge instead of creating a fresh one.

Winter Event activities Saturday, 12/10/2022 What an amazingly fun day this was, both at our usual time slot, and then again later in the day. Sooooo many runs of "Defeat Lady Winter" for the Cold as Ice badge, a few Baby New Year runs, a few Winter Lord spawnings in Atlas Park, and many many runs of the Lord Winter's Realm trial. Lots and lots of character switching, teams reforming, and @TrixieKixx running the league most of the times. And don't forget the awesome Duplicating Gift exchange where we all helped each other's multiple characters get both badges (Gift Getter & The Gift That Keeps on Giving). We started off with our regular players meeting in Pocket D, gathered more as we went along, until it turned into an enormous Indomitable party! A true badge orgy was had by all! ~~Happy Holidays from The Theme Team!~~

I see a plan forming here. 🙂 Looking forward to meeting your icy witch this weekend! btw, the reason I listed the badges is because there is always confusion in the LFG channel about Winter Lord. Some people confuse the zone-spawned "Winter Lord" with the "Lord Winter's Realm" trial. And then to further the confusion, "Lady of Winter" badge is NOT for defeating Lady Winter, but that is actually the badge for completing Lord Winter's Realm trial. Whereas, defeating Lady Winter gives "Cold as Ice" badge.
