Since @Bananiac couldn't join us today, I will do my own recap of today's Nerdy Citadel. (btw, Ban, you may not have been with us today, but I'm pretty sure your face was channeled through Cheeto Fingers!) @TraumaTrain: Great story. Clever and witty, as usual. Love those jeans you picked! @Vigilant Vergil: Combat platform boots, love it! @Jaxman100: Nothing nerdy about those pretty glowing swords. 🤩 @TygerDarkstorm: So glad you got to join us and show off that costume you made. That shower's loss was our gain! Well, the fishheads won today as the most popular costume piece with 4/6 of us choosing those. And Rich and I had the same idea to pair up the knee-hi socks with long shorts. LOL. Rich took the time to write some trivia for his character to share with us throughout the whole TF. 10 real facts and 10 Paragon real facts. You decide which is which! And now, without further ado, is the whole collection! Cheetos were first introduced in 1948 and were invented by Charles Elmer Doolin. Ha ha... Elmer. A couple years ago, Statesman cam to my plant to sell Rikti War Bonds. While he was there, he was attacked by Knockdown! It made such a huge mess of the poof everywhere and we were shut down for two weeks to clean it up! Cheetos are made by Frito-Lay, which is a subsidiary of PepsiCo. I like Pepsi too, but working at the Cheeto plant in Kings Row is a lot more fun! A few years ago, they opened another plant in Astoria. But... it's all dark and gloomy there now and no one seems to have any contact with the people who worked there. Did you know it takes 5,000 cows to make a year's worth of Cheetos? I think Cheetos must be popular everywhere. I saw a news clip of some Rikti being taken away by Longbow guys and I SWEAR ONE OF THE RITKI HAD REALLY ORANGE FINGERS! Cheetos mascott is a really cool tiger named Chester, but the original mascott was a simple, unnamed mouse. I'll bet it was Elmer! Speaking of Cheetos! Crey Industries recently made a contract with us for 3000 cases! They must really like Cheetos! Back in 2001 there was a flavor named Cheetos Mystery Colorz. They were supposed to turn your tongue orange! I should change my name to Cheeto Tongue! Ha ha! Oh! Last year there was this small time villain dude named Green Gobbler tried to turn all of our product green! What a loser! I think he's a Manticore villain. I head Vandal on TV once. He was trying so hard to sound like Bane from Batman! You like Flamin' Hot Cheetos? They were invented by a janitor at a Cheetos plant in Kansas City! did you know Hero 1 took a bag of Cheetos with him when Omega Team went off to the Rikti home world? It was my favorite flavor too! Jalapeno Cheddar! Did you know the annual retail sales of Cheetos worldwide is about $4 billion?! The World's Largest Cheeto weighed 8 tons and was presented in Galaxy City! A lot of people deny the claim though because it was made up of 100,000 individual Cheetos glued together. Cheese and Bacon Balls! Ha ha! That's the only flavor being sold in Australia at this time! Do you think they have Cheetos in Praetoria? It would be kind of sad if they don't. What do you think they have instead? I feel bad for those people now... 😞 It takes 19 minutes to make each batch of Cheetos at the plant in Kings Row! I heard Dr. Vahzilok uses Cheetos poof in his resurrection potions. Do you think that's true. I hope not... That would just be wrong! One time, I was attacked by some of those crazy weird plant creatures in Talos. They almost got me but I was able to escape by throwing a bag of Flamin' Hots at 'em! Sooo now I always carry an extra bag.

LOL, you must feel like a yo-yo with your plans going back and forth all week. Great look you made there, maybe you can use it on another theme one day. Have a fun time at that shower (if you indeed wind up attending 😄 )

I must be losing my mind... my sister just reminded it that our Orlando weekend isn't until the 27th! So count me in for Citadel, for sure!

I'll be in Orlando next weekend but will get there Friday night and test the hotel wi-fi connection on my laptop. So I'm tentative but will sign up and if I can't play I'll let you know in plenty of time.

Good idea, it allows for a broader variety of choices. I interpret it as the traditional "nerd" look that we know from movies.... schoolbookish, librarian-type, socially-awkward, unfashionable clothing. The heroes will be straight-laced goody-goodies, and the villains will be the ones that end up psychotic serial killers when they grow up.

I understand completely, I hate that too! Nobody wants to be a moocher, right? I had temp ally rez power but would've had to tp you to safe spot to use it and I don't typically get tp on my characters. This makes me rethink that idea though!

I think the biggest FUBAR we made was the conflicting strategies being thrown around. Which doesn't matter too much in the lower level TFs, but late game content requires more being on the same page. No worries, I love you all, and even the most cohesive set of peeps are gonna have an off day once in a while! ♥

I feel terrible about it. My brain didn't make the connection, but I told Rich about it afterwards and he said "Never leave during the last mission", and that reminded me that I knew that rule. I had left too earlier without even thinking about it. The next time I died, I remembered that I had big rezzes in my email and big break-frees, so I was able to rez on the spot and stay alive till the end. But it could have just as easily been me it happened to. 😞 Let's run it again tomorrow so you can get it! Who's in? 😄

I see me in your pic! Just below you to your right, the glowing white in the center of the stairs. I did not expect to win but I like participating in stuff, plus all those badges at the end for GMs and defeats. Even the Recluse's Victory defeats. I purposely picked someone who didn't have a lot of giant monster badges yet.

Okay, that makes sense. Maybe it should be interpreted as characters that were created exclusively for Disney were not allowed. Or even, like you said, a movie version created just for Disney.

I read all those comments too, @TygerDarkstorm. I've never heard of Tangled but now I know I was illegal too! Even though I changed the names of all parties involved, my concept was not allowed. Oh well! 🙄

@TrixieKixx, I didn't see that in the rules either! And I did read them ahead of time. How do we know what's Disney or not? Do we have to look that up ahead of time? LOL. Did Disney release a Rapunzel story? If so, I was disqualified too.

Creme Brulée would be various creamy shades of yellow, orange, brown. Like Mister Marzipan, LOL, just use that costume again and alter the colors a little! I worked on Key Lime Pie last night and also struggled with how to make white whipped cream trim on slick green filling. I made like 6 different costume designs and don't like any of them. LOL. All the white fur pieces which would be great as whipped cream have a grayscale tone to them so it just looks like dirty whipped cream. No dirty cream on my pie, thank you! You should make Bananiac into a Banana Cream Pie!

I agree, it is too complex of a concept to rely on visual alone, and I wish the contest had combined bio with costume. I made a Rapunzel character but visually she just looks like a blonde-haired girl dressed in scraps and rags and peasant clothing. And even her name would not give her away because of course I had to come up with an alternative for her real name, so I used Bellflower. So I wrote her a story to make it complete for myself even if not part of the judging yesterday. Your character looks great! How do you mean right place at the right time, did you win?
