How much in game currency do you have on hand.
Monty Haull replied to Monty Haull's topic in General Discussion
I was wondering if anyone would ask. There are two reasons for this poll. One was just curiosity because I remember a similar poll a few years ago and wanted to see if it changed much. The other reason was to help gauge prizes. I have put up some challenges with hide and seek for 50 million and it seemed that not many were interested. So are we in a state that player base does not find that an adequate amount? -

There is a pattern. It seems those who create many alts fund just enough to accomplish that. The dip in the curve @ 600 m - 2bn. I suspect those have more alts. Once you get above that amount I believe where the farmers, flippers, marketers start and continue on. You could also add in long time players who basically play but don't build alts. Of course this is an extremely small sample. In hindsight I should have added how many alts and how they have been playing. It would interesting to see a comparison. I wonder if the HC team could post some raw anonymous data to dig deeper. -
Actually this would be. "Is it safe?" {High pitched drill sounds}

Funny, I see you in my rearview mirror...

... And then one day you find. Ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run. You missed the starting gun.... {Queue epic guitar solo}

It seems to be a pattern of using RMs and other salvage to fund things. That is pretty much the same for me. I farmed for a good while in the beginning to gain inf. I have an entire base full of named enhancements. Have no idea of the value. When I need to scratch the altitus I just go shopping for what I need. Then I have my crafting base which is all salvage. I don't farm much any more and may just dump it all. -

I understand that. I went through all my alts and email on 3 accounts to see what I had. -

How confident are you that your build is properly slotted?
Monty Haull replied to DougGraves's topic in General Discussion
I use the function under combat attributes to monitor certain aspects. You can watch your endurance recovery and you endurance consumption for example. The same for health, defense, resistance etc. Some people use mids to pan out their builds. I tend to start with a blank slate and kinda let things unfold for themselves. -
boosting common IO's 50 to 50+1 or 50+2
Monty Haull replied to lastword's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Zeke, you explained it much better than I could have. Another note on the super packs. I do not recommend buy just one pack. The 1.2 ATO is an average. You could get zero or you could get 2. You just hope to get one. Getting an ATO makes to super pack profitable. I usually buy them in lots of a hundred and can turn a nice profit if marketed right. You get a lot of stuff that you can't sell, like free tailor sessions, respects stuff like that. I just wanted you to know that booster can be acquired in super packs. -

You can also get boosters from opening super packs. These can be bought for 10mil each for the heroes or rogue packs. 25mil each for the winter packs. You will find these under "special" in the auction house. -
Is the in-game economy weird and broken?
Monty Haull replied to Zombra's topic in General Discussion
In my opinion the economy is way better now than in live. There are safe guards in place to prevent an out of control market like on live. The common, uncommon, and rare salvage have been seeded with common being maxed out at 10,000, uncommon 100,000 and rare at 1,000,000. (I think those are the amounts) This means that is the most you would ever pay for these items. Now those items are no where near these prices which is great. This keep the cost of set IOs in check. When starting out it can be tough because you have nothing. Once you get your first 50 which then can feed your alts. Just play the game, learn the auction house if you want, have fun. It not a race. In regards to enhancement being sold by contacts, you want to select contacts that match what you picked. Natural, science, etc. usually you are guided when being introduced to a new contact. They will tell you that this contact specializes in tech or magic. You also have to complete a mission or two in order for the contact store to become available. I hope that helps with your questions. -
Keyboard unresponsive when editing base

Just a point of correction, I have a Logitech keyboard. -
Keyboard unresponsive when editing base
Monty Haull replied to Monty Haull's topic in Base Construction
@Etched @Dacy I did some Google-fu and found an interesting comment on Reddit about the Logitech keyboard software. They seem to think it might be part of the issue. I so happen have a Logitech keyboard with the software loaded. I have disable the software and will see if the problem persist. Btw, I am not using cel shading. -

Keyboard unresponsive when editing base
Monty Haull replied to Monty Haull's topic in Base Construction
There is a possible pattern here. The item was dock platform 1. I am set at 4k full screen. I am running a self built system. AMD Thread ripper 2950x, EVGA RTX3090, 64 GB RAM, Asus motherboard, Samsung NVME SSD. Windows 10pro. I am running in 4k full screen. I will have to screenshot the COH graphics settings as I do have some advanced settings enabled. -
Keyboard unresponsive when editing base
Monty Haull replied to Monty Haull's topic in Base Construction
So, it happened again. Same circumstances. I had been working in the base for about 15-29 minutes. I was placing dock platform items. After placing about 4 of them, the next one I placed went inside the base not outside the base. I deleted them but still could not place any new items outside the base. While I was filtered using the search, I was already placing items so, I don't think that was the problem. Note: I have not investigated the scenario or NOT using the filter/search. I will have to try that. Again, the keystrokes are not recognized after exiting the base editor or leaving the base altogether. I must exit the game completely and relaunch. Is there any additional information I could provide? -

Keyboard unresponsive when editing base
Monty Haull replied to Monty Haull's topic in Base Construction
@Dacy @Etched I encountered the issue again and here is some more information: I was placing items outside the base and using fine adjustments, all snapping disabled. The keyboard became unresponsive other than searching for items. I WAS able to place items inside the base. I could not enter any slash commands or chat. Mouse work fine except as described above. I tried sending an in game email, keyboard did not work. Here are some system details: I am using tequila. Have a modern Nvidia GPU Plenty of RAM and storage. Windows 10 pro AMD CPU I had two building sessions yesterday, same base. The first session had the keyboard issue the second did not. The only difference I see is the first session the population lower but, I was working with larger items. Large dock pieces. The second session was more crowded population. I had to wait in a queue to get in. I was working with smaller items. Stairs and rails. Hope this gives some insight. I will use the HC launcher with diagnostics. Edit: failed again Using the HC launcher w/diags Keyboard became unresponsive. I could only type the / key in the chat window. I did continue typing like /stuck. While it did accept then enter key, nothing happened. I was placing dock platform 3 when is happened. I exited the base into AP. No keyboard. I think I'll do some testing with placing the dock platform items and see if I can make it fail. -

So, how do you feel about the state of the market post license and the influx of players? In areas that I watch I don't see any significant price changes. I do see thing selling faster. It also seems the uncommon salvage has dropped down below the 20k floor.
