    I remember that "bit" too, Pitchforks and Torches all over the forum/chat Channels, Players rdy to storm Jake Emmerts castle and burn it down to the ground 🙂 . Thats one Reason his name still appears in Radio/Newspaper Missions.

  2. Heel i dont know what you meaning with that.

     

    From wiki the possible Settings / Commands for MM/Incarnate Pets:

     

    Stances

    • PetCommand Stance Aggressive.png Aggressive - Attack everything in their Perception range, or that attacks you or any of your other pets.
    • PetCommand Stance Defensive.png Defensive - Retaliate to attacks made against you or any of your other pets.
    • PetCommand Stance Passive.png Passive - Will not attack unless specifically told to.

    Actions

    • PetCommand Action Attack.png Attack - Attacks your currently selected target, regardless of Stance. Automatically switches to Follow after all nearby hostile targets are defeated.
    • PetCommand Action Follow.png Follow - Follow you.
    • PetCommand Action Stay.png Stay - Hold position. Will move a short distance from that spot if in Aggressive or Defensive mode and attacking.
    • PetCommand Action Goto.png Goto - Gives you a targeting reticule to select a spot on the ground. Pets continuously attempt to move to that spot. Similar rules to Stay.
    • PetCommand Action Dismiss.png Dismiss - Causes the pet(s) to disappear from the pet window. Henchmen and other summoned pets immediately despawn. Heavies and Turrets in Recluse's Victory hang around.

     

    Follow is the standard they should have , means they follow u, with that setting the Nr, 2 of my Post applies. Defensive/Follow is the necessary setting for the Bodyguard Mode.

  3. This can have some issues.

     

    1. which kind of TP was used a Group TP or a single Person TP Power.

    2. Theres the Range Problem, if Pets are to far away they get auto TP'ed to you by Game, if they are still close by they try to run to you, so if its a small map they can be to close for the Auto TP Rule.

     

    Ur own Pets ignore Stealth/Invis completely, im always have at least from lvl 16 Stealth running :).

     

    That they don't move at all (stay away) i didnt encounter so far and i play alot of MM with all kinds of henchmen, did u maybe give em the order to stay at a location?

  4. Well there have been Incidents where other Programs interfered without any recognizable reason, try to shut down all background programs that arent necessary to run the Operating System, especially Browsers, Videorecording Programs, Social Media, etc. and then launch CoX.

     

    Not that it Should matter but u are using Tequila or the HC Launcher... if Tequila switching to the new Launcher may be an Option.

     

    Just a shot in the wild but unless other more knowledgeable people join the thread theres not much else to do.

  5. If Netgraph shows no Problems then most probable its a Graphics/Driver issue.

     

    Or even does ur Laptop has 2 Graphic Cards, if so u have to make sure that its using the non built (Intel versus Nvidia as example) in for CoX.

     

    Then CoX uses OpenGL which only few other MMOs use , i dont think DCUO or CO uses it, most using DirectX.

     

    So updating the OpenGL driver might fix the issues, theres threads in forum about it, the one i found was about AMD graphic card so i dont link it cause i dont know if u have such in the Laptop.

    3. its not a bug it working as it was intended as far we know u have one shot at it, via normal run or ouro, if u fail any mish in his arc u cannot get it anymore. Could be worth for a Suggestion to team to change that 😉.

    4. not sure but u can join an Epic AT on his missions, if u get the souvenir at the end or only the mish holder i dont know. Would be worth a try to dualbox it. Praetorian should fall under the same rule, since u cant switch to be one.

  7. Hello,

    its a known issue, if someone quits the team while TF is running. Normally u can fix it by everyone logging off for 5 Minutes and the designated team Leader logs in 1st again, then it switches to next mission in TF Progress most times (although sometimes u need to do the stuck Mish once more after relogging).

  8. So this is just a suggestion but maybe a bit more variance to newspaper missions on redside (maybe to radios for blue too) would be nice.

     

    We have so many Mobs on redside that dont show up in those.. Cage Consortium, the Miners, Slag Heap, u mostly see only the same mobs as u do on Blue Side which is kinda tedious after some time, Port Oakes and Cap au Diable at least offer Mooks and Goldbrickers, but for Sharkhead u only get the Rob the Chum Bucket and the Bank Mish in which for that zone they use Cage Consortium (only 1 mish type). Adding the already existing Mob Types to those would be breath of fresh air.

    And *most* of the police chief missions aren't really that hard. Tedious perhaps, but so is going through a five story buidling to find the kidnappee to rescue. It's just part of being a hero. Somedays you rescue people, somedays you put the smack down on a criminal operation that's gotten out of hand.  (annnnnnnd somedays you do a Mayhem Mission and blow up most of a downtown area....)

     

    Now, when the police chief wants me to go into the Abandoned Sewer Network for 50 Rikti, I do sigh deeply and decide just how much I care. "C'mon chief. Can we wait until they actually threaten someone on the surface?"

    Try to get the badge mish for the 1st accomplishment badge (Negotiator) from the LVL 5-10 clockwork contact if the char is LVL 8-9, practically impossible in like 90 from 100 chars i played, the badge mish (2nd entry) gets blocked by damn police chief, sometimes he doesn't show up and i get the badge or a regular door mish from the contact instead, dont know why that is. The 1st entry is always a hunt mish anyway so i ignore them altogether unless they start a storyarc.

     

    Back on live i circumvent it by selecting chief on different contact and get the mish i wanted and then drop him again, but that was before radio mishes when we had more then 1 of the classic contact active in that LVL area. Today i ignore the contact  and wait till im outlvld him so i can do it via ourobous without the hassle.

  10. Well some hunt Missions make sense.. but these old Police Chief hunt missions low lvl area like for Perez Park that block important badge missions or arcs.. they should either replace only the hunt mish from contact or be shelfed together to an extra contact..

     

    Would much improve low contacts mission getting.

  11. I see that happening too if i dismiss via Pet Window while Travelling (Fly) and they are to far away.

     

    They turn grey and dont fight, Pet Window is empty but still run up to you, normally right click on em and dismiss works, Resummon of course too.

  12. That kind of stuff happened back on live too, only with radio/paper Missions.

     

    Had more then once a kill boss type Mish with no enemy inside anymore,  walking to what was the boss room auto finished the Mish.

     

    That happened only when a patch/server maintenance was done, probably changing something in database related to em, i try to avoid leaving undone paper/radio mishes since then when i log off. But that is what u want to do so i give just a lil bit of extra information here 🙂 .

  13. Well im not the most expert here, but since no other answered so far.

     

    I nvr heard of "Sunrise" before, i joined HC in November 2019 and since then used either Tequila or the HC Launcher.

     

    Easiest Solution for you at this point would be installing Homecoming Launcher, cause it will be the future, and u have different Launcher for different Server then, makes troubleshooting and knowing on which u currently play for sure easier.

  14. Im not at my CoH PC so cant tell the exact Naming, but under Options was something like "use System Cursors",  maybe u should try that Option or options close to it.. they could be helping with the Issue.

    just wanted to add a possible problem caused by this solution, what happens if the leader get dced?

    Will the Power be moved then to new leader? If not, and he needs time to come back .. as we all know real life problems are not all solved in minutes, this could lead to the problem to not be able to finish the Strikeforce.

    just saying it depends on PVP Zone, the lower ones like Bloody Bay/Sirens Call/Warburg are side specific  (blue against red), but as far i recall Recluse Victory is free fire for all that are not on team.

  17. Also black screen and reboot could also be a hidden blue Screen, cause most PC's are set to reboot by default instead to show blue screen and wait on response.

     

    You could check this by disabling the reboot and wait for the crash to happen again, or check the windows logs of computer management.. sometimes Windows have enough time to make an entry for that before rebooting if it has enough time. The Number of error could help indentify the cause of the crash.

     

    Back on 2011 when i bought this comp i didnt know about compatibility much so the RAM i put into it wasnt 100% compatible with the Mainboard, as result i got blue screens too.. funny thing it happened only if more then one memory module was slotted (of 4 normally inside) and it happened only when CoX ran more then half an hour so he accessed the 2nd module (or more).

    I replaced the 4 RAM Modules with some from the Manufactures Compatibility List and nvr had an Issue since.
