  1. So a little update.

     

    Its solid as hell.

     

    The Presence Pool shtick was in fact the better choice than what I used a respec for (additional items from Medicine).  I got Serum in and that's nice.  Not chasing perma on it though.  The +RES and DEF slotting really nice except for the fact that Soldiers are not getting the buff (Bug Post made).  Munitions Mistress is more fun that she used to be which is all I could really ask for.

Well I jumped the gun and right after work yesterday I went home, reframed my Merc MM and executed a respec . . . and like my first marriage, I have significant regrets.  I kept telling myself to move her to Test again and respec that way but I got ants in my pants and now have to burn another to dump the suck Pool Power I took to restore the less sucky pool power I dumped.  Also my new DP/EA Sentinel needs to stop an Atlas Park thingy because she needs a Raptor Pack and there is that Fire Sentinel.

Sadly, Brainstorms are those things I E-Mail to a single character then every once in a blue moon craft them for for the rare.  Honestly it would be nice to see some sort of modification or improvement to the mechanism for accumulating them.  Perhaps some sort of radio-like mission structure that can be given out by the Universities that yield a small number of them, not so that they profitable from a farming standpoint but where they are at least not as much of a pain in the buttocks as @Ukase accurately describes.

Well to be both snarky (no relation) and semi-realistic, if they removed the "tax" power pick prerequisite they would likely reduce the values (enhancement numbers) that Tough and Weave provide to balance since the historic statement and precedence is that no Pool Power should function greater than a Primary or Secondary (yes I know Sorcery is staring at me).  Similarly if they added even a miniscule +DEF or +RES to those "tax" powers they would be even more inclined to notch numbers down.

  6. BLUF:  Soldiers are not seeing their Resistance or Defense increase from slotting in Equip Mercenaries and Tactical Upgrade.  Is this intended?

     

    So I preface this with being up front when I say I tested the changes to the Resistance and Defense slotting in the Equip Mercs and Tactical upgrade when it was on test but only looked at the numbers from Spec Ops and Commando but NOT Soldiers (I was lazy).  I love the change and it drastically improves survivability.  What I am here pointing out, which might be a bug but maybe not is that while Commando and Spec Ops improve when you slot (and resummon) Soldiers do not.  I actually spotted this when I was doing my respec on live.  This is not a complaint about the numbers being not enough or too much its pointing out that Soldiers are not receiving the same benifits

     

    Munitions Mistress - Level 43 - Mercs/Traps - Heavily Set IO Slotted including all Pet RES and DEF Procs.

     

    Baseline (Zero Enhancements slotted in the Auto Slot for Equip Mercenaries and Tactical Upgrade).  Numbers from the Combat Attributes look in game, not Mids.

     

    Commando - Resist From Equip 25.41 - Defense From Tactical Upgrade 6.05

    Spec Ops - Resist From Equip 25.31 - Defense From Tactical Upgrade 6.03

  7. Sorry but I don't like Incandescent.  I don't mind change but moving Castle seems like change just to change.

     

    That's why if I train in PI (which isnt often) I greet with:

     

    "Hi Not Castle."

     

    Then depart with:

     

    "Bye Not Castle.  Bring Back Castle."

     

    Admittedly, this one time a nearby player let me know that Castle had jumped the shark when he got amnesia and they did the whole loc-sat (sp) conspiracy thing.  The fact that I got his reference made me have to stop and take stock of my life for a little bit 🙂

I worked this on test a bit and as it stands right now I am adding two slots (for three total) on the Equip (RES) because it seemed to translate to less of them getting zeroed down fast.  I tried with the defense and it wasn't as noticeable with regards to mitigation.  Keep in mind I have all of the RES and DEF procs slotted that I can.  Focus fire was nice.  I had a thematic use of Presence that was in there but now I am pulling out two (I need the slots as well) and swapping in Serum (its a good AV/EB fight aid now that it affects the whole squad).  They were noticeably stronger and survivable on test and in sum, I don't have to gut my build too much.

     

    There is some tweaking of course because of certain exemplar benchmarks I have but overall, so excited to get home and play.  The Munitions Mistress is coming for you!

  10. I have the alts under control.  I swear.

     

    Granted I have like a lot of Dual Pistols characters . . . three DP Blasters (MC, Time and Ninja), a DP/Kin Corr, a Time/DP Defender . . . crap I don't have a DP Sentinel . . . and Sentinels are getting love . . . So I could make a DP Sentinel and it would be for testing . . . yeah that's it.

     

    Looks at watch to see how much longer before leave work . . . excellent.

    Heheh.  I made several promises to myself of what I would and wouldn't do on Homecoming versus live and one of them was a billion alts I never carried through on.  I am not unhappy with the result.  Sometimes I play them and like them then move them to Everlasting because I might revisit them.  Others, yeah, eliminated with extreme prejudice after stripping everything form them.  Oh the manual merit transfer mails 😞

  12. Most of the new costumes shown from the current test server are . . . meh and the Bratz-Bobblehead thing . . . YUCK.  So I will continue to sell my Aether until they make the costumes alter to fit your gender and scale to height which will cause me to have to spend berdillions on Aether 🙂

I am looking forward to it.  I do not have as many alts as I used to so I am not having anxiety -  mostly.  The first pass will be mostly about tweaking and fine tuning as opposed to shifting major alignments for earlier usability.  Most alts are not exemping down any more so its not a super problem.

     

    - Mercs MM - The two upgrades and adding serum.  Fortunately I had some trash pool powers I could dump and realign slots.

    - DP/Ninja Blaster - Secondary selection change allows me to dump tranq dart and be extra swordy.

    - Fire/Fire Sentinel - Some tweaking relating to alterations to certain powers and an evaluation of Power of the Phoenix becoming a tool and not just a rez like that Dark one that stuns people . . . Noisy Death Stun . . . Howling Twilight.

     

    Now later on, when the OCD wakes me up at 3 AM and I am unable to get back to sleep because I am thinking about 108 permutations of Kinetics on a DP Corruptor, then I will have an issue.

  14. The text description should be cleaned up because I just got through about 45 minutes of testing on the Test server after I saw what I thought was a bug both with this and the Impervious Skin Resistance/Regeneration IO.
