There's an announcement up that they had to temporarily reduce AE xp because of stability issues. They are hoping it will encourage people to run a little less AE for a while. Purely a tech issue, not a moral judgement.

I seem to remember a few annoyances, but right now they are overwhelmed by the surreal awesomeness of again getting to play the best computer game ever. Definitely puts things in perspective. (I did rage quit for a while over the regen nerf and EDD. But that was more Statesman's rather obnoxious attitude about "his game". I'm much older and wiser now. ;) )

In addition to the scaling solution, I had to run in windowed mode (alt-enter). Looks great.

I agree that it's probably a little silly at this point to post those builds. I really miss being able to casually purple my toons, but after all this time I'm perfectly happy leveling with sub-optimal builds. It just feels great to be out there arresting peeps again.

Have you figured out a way to pick up all those IO's? I miss having billions sitting around.

I think everyone has different playstyles - do you want a team or solo scrapper? AoE or Bosskiller? How expensive will the build be? The synergies of various combos depend on what you want. My personal quick overview: Shield is the "best" secondary. It's got great defenses and offense. Willpower is generically useful and easy to level with, goes great if you want an "invisible" secondary. Fire does the most damage, but the tradeoff is to be a little more squishy. Those 3 are my favorites, mostly because I like damage causing energizer bunnies. I think WP is superior to Regen. Primaries: Spines for AoE. Fire for best damage overall. Dark is nice damage combined with added survivability. Katana, Claws, MA and BS for solid single target. My DM/Shield was built for damage and could still tank for a TF. Might have been my best overall toon, but he was uber expensive.

Hi, I had no problem installing on my computer, but can't get it done on my son's. It's got a GTX970, running Windows 8.1 The game just won't size properly. I tried running at every possible resolution, tried changing res both before and after loading from Tequila. I tried running Full Screen, Aspect, and No Scaling. Tried GPU and Display scaling. Tried scaling override. No luck. I logged in blind (without seeing the password area because it was offscreen), and that got me to the server choice. But it's not possible to select a server. I played CoH since release, but it went down while my son was too young to play. He's heard me complain many a time that they shut down the best game ever before he got to play it. I gotta team with him. ;) Thanks!
