  1. Can anyone confirm that this is the correct address for finding the files in Homecoming: <CoH server\i25 Release\data\sound\Ogg>
  2. Oh, it excels at that. ;)
  3. I don't know what the right numbers are, but I do know that I have a beam/rad sentinel and a beam/devices blaster, both around level 30ish, I have a 44 pistols/wp sent and a 35 pistols, atomic blaster. And the blasters can solo on higher difficulty than the Sentinels. That doesn't sound like trading safety for damage to me. I feel safer on the blaster, unless I get mezzed. But unless there are multiple mezzing mobs in the group it's a non-issue. It is worth noting that mez is a much bigger deal at the higher levels. There are groups a Blaster will die *much* more frequently to than a Sentinel, strictly due to mez. Blaster have (almost) always fallen behind the power curve at the highest levels.
  4. I've only taken one Sent to 50, 3 more to thirty. I think their class feature is weaker than others because they don't need it. They are an incredibly balanced, easy to play class. A little bit of end issues at the lower levels, but that isn't uncommon. I even experienced the "cheap" build while leveling my first. They aren't designed to take aggro. But they can dish out a ton of damage without micromanaging their own defenses, as long as they don't take alpha. It's kind of funny. As COH players we talk about how this game breaks the holy trinity. But then a class comes along and we try to shoehorn it into the existing roles.
  5. Posi, Javelin Volley, and which third? Have you tried the Dom procs?
  6. Is there a way to edit the sound file so that recharging powers don't "whomp-whomp" when you click on them? The "+forward$$powexec" bind works great, but that sound is annoying as heck.

  8. Wait, you're saying that the Posi proc and all the others don't fire on every Creeper attack? That would be a major change.

    Dom procs

Anyone know if the Dom ATO procs fire in pet powers like Creepers? Thanks.
  10. I think it's smoother play to just leave Hasten on auto and use the WASD binds to activate Domination.
  11. This reminded me that I used to bind to WASD. It worked really well, you only lose Dom if afk. I wouldn't do powers, when it fires the power won't and that could mess you up in combat.
  12. If you can attain around 123% global recharge w/o Hasten, Domination will be perma. Then you can just click Hasten at your leisure or whenever you get affected by -recharge. Might be worth it with Incarnate. As for linking it with click attacks, that could be really tricky in actual practice if you have an attack chain where some powers setup others. Might be with a try, though.
  13. Interesting. I did some Pylon tests. About half the time Blazing Blast triggered 5 times, the other half 6 times. But FB and Blaze didn't trigger close to 80% either. And Blazing Blast never triggered my Reactive Interface, which is at 75%.
  14. Hi, call me Hypothetical.
  15. Yeah, I was kinda hoping it might have been one of the many QoL improvements while we were away. I've run perma Dom before, I guess clicking is just part of the cost of being uber. ;)
  16. I can certainly emphasize with frustration over wasted(?) time. This game is so easy to level, I wish more people would take their time and enjoy the ride. It's not like there's a ton of endgame. But also, how do you make it to 50 without realizing that pets are teammates, not extensions of your toon? Or read a guide? Luckily there are free respecs, so you can easily get your money back and redo the toon.
  17. Is there a way to do something like Hasten+Domination without maintenance clicking? Thanks.
  18. Fire/Rad was smoothest ride to 50 I've ever had. You can definitely bring the damage, while usually not worrying about defenses. I took Fire Breath while leveling, then respecced out. But I'd definitely take Fire Rain, the bigger rad(ius) over Ground Zero shows up a lot. Likewise, Blazing Blast does solid damage, I'd rather drop Fire Blast. It's useful when you get Boss aggro. Didn't take any Epic pools. It's the only toon I didn't bother to softcap because stuff is almost always dead before I'm in trouble. The Absorb is a big deal. Focused on extra damage instead, plus Fly and Afterburner as a luxury. Wouldn't be hard to soft cap if you give up a few things, but I don't miss it. More fun to just melt everything.
  19. Perfect, thanks!
  20. Is there a list of Lore pet powers anywhere? I know the supports do different buffs, and obviously some are more useful for certain builds than others. Thanks.
  21. So it's like a proc that fires at given intervals?
  22. How does this work? Does it periodically renew? Specifically thinking of Temporal Healing. Thanks.
  23. Definitely does not play like a scrapper. You get to stand in the middle of things and just blast away, no chasing. It's a big game, and everyone should play the way they enjoy. But Sents don't need extra range - and everything has an opportunity cost (see what I did there?). ;)
  24. Amazing - I made it to 50 getting this backwards. We really need better info on Sentinels.
  25. We're so much tougher than a blaster, why worry about range?
