  1. Great to see the goop teleport option for teleport, especially in conjunction with the upcoming Marine Affinity powerset!
  2. Very excited for the Malta additions! I know some other players in my SG are very pleased to have more large robot costumes. Thanks!
  3. You're in luck, this is exactly how it works. But in order to prevent a high drop rate from being boring, the drop rate is kept lower. And in order to prevent a low drop rate from discouraging players from attempting it at all, there are consolation tickets players can accumulate towards a GM pet recipe. This, plus the GM changes to health, powers, etc serve the goal of attempting to make GM hunting more exciting and draw in players who have grown bored of the activity or weren't previously interested.
  4. They want players to try Giant Monster raiding so there's a new incentive, they don't want the new incentive to drop too often so the rate is low, they don't want the low rate to deter initial fights so there's a consolation currency you can build up towards. I believe this is the rationale.
  5. Quoted for MF Truth! This was how Bane VEATs were designed in the i12 Beta, originally. Placate had this shorter timer making it a versatile tool to compensate for their comparatively weaker passive damage mitigation stats. But then it got Castle'd before live and the rest is history. This is such a fantastic change.

  7. Are Devs open to the idea of changing the name of Category 5? There are a lot of words for violent storms that evoke imagery vividly and I don't feel Category 5 accomplishes that same imagery very well. Tempest, Typhoon, Nor'easter, Monsoon, Torrential Downpour, I find that any of these immediately inspire more power and command than Category 5.
  8. I'm curious if any experienced TA peeps have recommendations for proccing up Ice Arrow. I'm assuming: Unbreakable Constraint, Ghost Widow's Embrace, Ice Mistral's Torment, Gladiator's Net, and Lockdown because who can resist getting that one-shot boss hold? Topping it off with a vanilla Accuracy IO+5. Am I missing any better Hold or Slow category procs?
  9. The way I'm understanding it: it's the other way around. Each Sonic Attack applies (and refreshes) that 12% for 8s debuff). In addition to that, each attack also applies a secondary debuff that's uniformly weaker, though typically longer duration. These secondary debuffs are attack specific (for the most part) and stack independently of one another. The tier 1 and tier 2 attacks' secondary debuffs have the same name, so instead of stacking, they refresh.
  10. If you have a Tanker named Mighty Woman, I'm pretty sure I've been on several Relentless ASFs with you. You do an excellent job explaining precisely what the team needs to do, you pay close attention to team comp, and you prompt players when to act. Unfortunately, I've infrequently seen leaders do half those things and Relentless ASFs can quickly pick apart sloppy or unprepared teams. My opinion is that this has lead a great deal of TF leaders to hesitate creating pug ASFs, despite the higher rewards associated with it.
  11. I enjoy it for the bonus AV-team fight but I've barely seen anyone run it since January.
  12. Lower on empathy, higher on sadism, bored and unable to find a more constructive outlet because they can't confront their addiction to what's familiar.
  13. I dislike the IO set system more than any other item or equipment system I've played in any game. To me it's: tedious, doesn't feel satisfying to pick up a single IO set piece or frankly even a set or two (you have to invest a lot to notice stat changes), doesn't allow me to leverage any new mechanics or abilities (I'm just a better "ball of stats" to slam against enemies), and it lead to the inevitable auction house that you have to partake hours in if you want to accumulate the large quantities of IO sets you'll need if you want to see substantial benefits. I do however like procs and globals, slot one and it does what it says on the tin, no other researching, Auction House hours, etc. required to see it work. I don't feel CoH was ever balanced around IOs, I don't feel it currently is, and I really hope Homecoming Devs don't make the decision to do so.
