  1. Story. I was not very well for a bit last year and had to go into hospital and get some bloods done. “Ah, here’s your resulll…whaaa?” ”…what?” ”I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about. Just gonna check with my super.” ”WHAT.” ”Well, we don’t find many patients with blood oxygen that low.” ”Where do you usually find them?” ”Mostly the big fridge in the basement.” [beat] ”So I’m undead?” “I guess.” ”Huh. Well, nothing’s falling off, teeth are… fine… OH GOD I’M NOT SPARKLING AM I?”
  2. The Headhunters - Land of 1000 Dances (Live)
  3. Human Instinct - A Day In My Mind’s Mind
  4. The Who - The Real Me
  5. First teaser is up, and… …well, it’s fun, but not a whole amount to guess the plot from. We know Rotta’s in it from the cast list, and seems a bit fitter than his dad was. Someone’s got hold of a secondhand Razor Crest too… that may or may not be Mando’s as the N1 is still in it. Western bar fights. Arena fight of some kind. Imps fall down, go BOOM. Oh, and Sigourney doesn’t share.
  6. Mind you, next year we need a CoT Caster dance party for the 21st…
  7. That would be for male toons. Personally, I’d need Booty Queen.
  8. Not exactly. The badge isn't awarded for kills - it's given for leading, teleporting, taunting or otherwise cajoling said ghosts into traps in Port Oakes. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Spirit_Trapping ...and it takes some patience to get hold of, since that's a much trickier job than just taking a Slaying Axe to where the neck should be... and you still need 100 off them. 😕
  9. It was a great surprise, and a nice little puzzle working out how the event worked. Was tempted to post spoilers...
  10. Aerosmith x Yungblud - My Only Angel
  11. AFAIK, Bob was in one (1) cape movie. And it was a doozy: Winter Soldier. So he counts. Okay, he’s barely in it. And the conversation probably went something like: “We need someone GOOD for this. Gravitas. Charming but with depths.” ”A Robert Redford type.” ”Yeah. I mean if we could get Bob…” ”Have we got Bob money?” ”You get me Bob, Feige will get you Bob money. Because it’s Bob.” Seriously. The guy was everyone’s dream to work with, and not because he was one of the great screen gods. The guy worked to make even small parts memorable: and when he took the lead, those are movie names to conjure with. The Sting. Out Of Africa. River Runs Through It. Sneakers (STILL the only really good h@X0r movie), All The President’s Men, and of course Butch & Sundance. But that role arguably had a much bigger impact than that movie - as his festival for new and upcoming filmmakers has brought up so many talents. (And the only reason I’d have hauled my raggedy ass to the middle of Utah on days it felt like if Hell froze over, Satan would have still sent any producers who died in Park City downstairs to warm up). Newman had to fight for him for Butch & Sundance (as one producer said: “ah, he’s just another California blond. Throw a stick out the window, you hit six of ‘em.”) But even from the early days, and the smallest parts. This is no ordinary job-to-job actor. Do you recognise when someone just has that magic? I hope he was welcomed in the same way. May he rest in light.
  12. The album is scheduled to drop 19th September, and you'd better believe I'll be getting it on the day. The movie... still not so sure.
  13. Having a go at my first properly designed base - a home for the Fearless Battle Nuns of St Barbara. (If you want to visit, NUNSWITHGUNS-39168 on Everlasting.) Let's start with the cloisters (and jump point hall...) The chapel/briefing area: Motorpool: Research area: ...and of course, the morgue/holding/undead disposal area. ...thoughts welcome as to what else the place might need...
  14. Marvin Hamlisch - Easy Winners
  15. …because Dave didn’t write it and have an excuse to give his favourites an outing? Then again…
  16. Update trailer, kicking off with an intro to Flynn and a recap of the other two movies. Gives a couple of new things away, including that Flynn is a literal ghost in the machine. Whether that's the original Grid or he's been forked along with the base code into the new system isn't clear at this point, but he's definitely gone full Obi-Wan. Eve Kim (Greta Lee, The Morning Show, Spider-Verse) is more heavily featured as ARES's human partner, but her full role is not yet revealed. Gillian Anderson is now credited as Elisabeth Dillinger (Julian's mother). Hopefully she gets more to do than the Voice Of Conscience.
  17. There's not many trailers make me go "oooh, what the hell is this?"
  18. The OG Thunderbolts comic is my favourite arc, bar none, and while I like this movie, it has almost zero to do with that series. The movie is a team-up movie like any other. The only thread that comes from the OG comic is the idea that Very Bad People can do good things - and not necessarily because they want to be better. Some like the glory. Some want to fit in. Some have dark hidden motives an' all that. I would quite like it if Marvel Animation did an "Original Thunderbolts" movie/series with Zemo's crew.
  19. Rocket From The Crypt - He’s A Chef
  20. I've always enjoyed these, not least for Daniel Craig's wonderfully strange suthun-fried accents: but also a bit of old-school sleuthing. Knives Out didn't cheat either on the mystery, which I very much liked: Glass Onion did, but enjoyed it anyway. (Though I prefer the Poker Face series for the actual setup and solve. And while I'm aware a lot of this board might consider this sacrilege, I wish they'd given Thursday Murder Club's material and cast to Johnson instead of blasted Chris Columbus.) Yet again we have an all-star cast: Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, hot-priest-but-not-playing-one-here Andrew Scott... ...but giving the most work to The Crown's Josh O'Connor as Benoît's self-imposed, probably unwanted Watson.
  21. Contessa Elaintina Veritaespettacolare di Fontaine is introduced at the end of F&TWS, recruiting John Walker as USAgent: then picks up Yelena in the post-cred of Black Widow. She’s introduced as the CIA’s new Director in Wakanda Forever - and also Everett Ross’s ex.
  22. ...what D said. (And I woulda done if it hadn't been for that meddling mobile site...) And while I would have loved that, it risked turning the Supergirl movie into the Lobo show. As it is, the original Woman of Tomorrow arc still borrows a core theme from that particular Western (and I prefer the Coen Brothers remake, with Jeff and lil' Hailee.) Kara is approached by young orphan Ruthye. She persuades Kara to help find Krem Of The Yellow Hills, who murdered her father for not laughing at a joke. (Sheesh. Some people just can't handle a tough crowd.) Lobo doesn't appear in the original comic, but I can think of ways of working him in. Not as heavily as the LaBoeuf role, more for colour, humour and a.... call it a "casual antagonist". Someone who pops up to cause issues, either for fun or because they're pursuing similar goals - but isn't the Final Boss. I've seen a couple - and these days, I'm never sure if anything's real or an AI fake. This one's from Reddit: what does your forum-sense tell you? Makeup's a little more Dragula-era Rob Zombie to my eye, and the motorbike looks like an old Norton in WW2 camo drab - but maybe they had it kicking about on the lot, Momoa liked it and they'll dial in the 'Hog later.
