  1. Nice to see some SR love in the tank realm. My SR/Fire/Pyre tank is 50 with several incarnate powers slotted but I haven't looked at him in a bit. The tank's normally anemic damage output isn't that bad after being backed by musculature, degen and assault. And he does not die. Ever.

  2. Degen does seem to be the go to for max damage output. Along with Hybrid Assault Core if base dam modifier is 1 or higher or Hybrid Assault Radial if < 1. So Radial for brutes. That leaves Musculature for Alpha.

     

    If any of these are incorrect, please explain why so that I can go fix my builds... again.

    I did. End usage on sw is just too high to be sustainable. And I prefer the KB -> KD proc in there instead.

    Here's the current build. I'm 20% short on recharge, which blows. For a seamless fu, focus, slash chain, you gotta have 186% global and permahasten. EDIT: The recharges in hasten are at 50+5.

  6. Remade my em/fa brute into a dm/inv brute. I am already beginning to suspect that this is a very potent combination. Sure, aoe is lacking, but I'll be buffing that a bit with dark obliteration. I've no doubt that it would be just as groovy for a scrapper.

    Oh yea, I nuked him. Saved his costume first, though. I've never been a fan of keeping things around that I don't use. In games or RL. And considering I can PL a new one to 50 in 3.5 hours of doing something I like doing anyway, it's no biggee.

    Storage bins are ready to go on the rebuild. Took two quickie respecs to pull and store everything. Much better than the ... what ... 10 we had to do in the past?

     

    Oddly enough, I seem to recall scrapping Louis during live as well. I know at one point he was dark melee but I can't remember what secondary he had. For the time being, I've remade him as a dark\invul brute. We'll see if possible EM changes can take him back to his former glory. It's not like gettin to 50 is a rough ride these days.

     

    @BloodofcaineI absolutely get where you're coming from but in the mythology I built for my devils and their Hell, Lucifer was most assuredly a front line general in the war against Heaven.

  10. I fully IOed out my old main villain, Louis Cypher. One Energy Melee/Fiery Aura Brute.

     

    He sucks. He sucks bad. I mean... black holes suck in everything but Hawking radiation and they still don't suck as bad as this EM/FA brute.

     

    Does anyone else remember the glory that was energy transfer before the great nerfing? I railed against the change then, and now I remember why I just stopped playing this guy.

     

    This isn't a post seeking build help. There is no help for energy melee at this point beyond developer changes to the set. Having your best DPA attacks lock you into what feels like 10 second animations is a non-starter.

     

    I'm really only asking the brute community... what powersets should Satan have? Should he even be a brute?

    I missed this sentence on first read. I'm a bit OCD (shocking, I know) so I've always cleared everything. But it prompted me to go for a better average.

    Started the time at first zone in and stopped it at last clicky. A little under 27 minutes for a new average of 1.9 M inf/min. After selling everything, that jumped to 2.23 M inf/min.

    I'm cool with this. I like that my belief in Claws' AoE capabilities is based in fact.

    Your work on the costumes in these AE arcs is absolutely amazing.

    Yes that absolutely will reduce your inf earnings by a substantial margin. Just using rough estimate math 49 farming should put you in the 1.9 mil inf/minute ballpark.

    Just for giggles, I took my main Claws/SR scrapper into the same map. Took about 2 minutes longer to clear it using FU, Spin, Shockwave, repeat with Pyronic thrown in on occasion.

    Claws/SR is still glorious.

    Damage is better on the scrapper, mitigation is better on the brute. As it should be.

  14. We get a 1000 slots. Build both! I've got 3 Bill Z Bubbas at 50 and fully kitted out now. (I've got 5 but the tank and stalker aren't built.) The scrapper's damage output is considerably higher than the brute's thanks to the scrapper AT IO procs, but the brute can take a lot more incoming damage/attacks and has taunt.

     

    I seriously love them both and bounce between them on a whim.

    The shorter equation is just a reworked version of the one you have from the original thread. The difference is probably a rounding thing in the shorter equation.

     

    Using 165 seconds as Time for both:

    ((30677.15+(102.26*165))/165)/(1-0.20)) = 360.22765

     

    ( 38343.75/165 )+127.8125 =  360.19886

     

    Yea, something is amiss.

     

    ((30677.15+(102.26*Time))/Time)/(1-0.20)) = X

    (30677.15+(102.26*Time))/Time = .8X

    30677.15+(102.26*Time) = .8X*Time

    30677.15/Time+102.26 = .8X

    38346.4375/Time + 127.825 = X

     

    As I like a good mystery, grabbed the Power Anaylzer temp power and took a look at the pylons.

    Base HP verified at 30677.15

    Regen verified at 102.26 HP/sec

    Damage resistance verified 20% to all.

     

    That's funny. Looks like the old reworked one was wrong at least from the post I copied it from. Perhaps it was corrected later on in the thread. Granted, not by much, but accuracy rules!

    Using new reworked equation of 38346.4375/165 + 127.825 = 360.22765 which matches original equation.

    I was wondering how you calculate the dps cause i end to 451,15 dps for a 1 minute 25 time using the formula on the first page.

     

    ( 38343.75 / time ) + 127.8125 = is the equation that should be used where time is in seconds.

     

    So 1 min 25 sec run is 85 seconds. Total becomes 578.92 or rounding 579.

     

    I just got a 2:45 run on my claws/bio using followup, focus, eviscerate and the +heal/-regen power from bio. 360 DPS. Not great compared to what so many others have done.

     

    And Auroxis beat me to it.
