  1. Amazing name-concept-costume, love it!
  2. I don’t play often but managing my economy is an important part of my experience. “I can afford this, I have earned this. I can’t afford that, I’ll need to work for it”. Both of those parts are integral to my game. I’m also not super rich, I’ve just followed some guides here and gotten some money. I’ve also been given some money. In my experience, it’s not hard to get some money for stuff, if you care to ask for help or read a little bit about it. So it doesn’t need to be made that much easier. I also really believe that making a great build with great enhancements is more rewarding when it’s your own money rather than if everything is free and available to everyone. What could very well be made easier and more accessible, in my experience, is leveling enhancements, new player enhancements. Free, good and simple enhancements. I struggle enough in solo missions on my blasters and controllers. I also don’t want to do the big work every time of figuring out what particular enhancements to get in the low levels. Free, simple, powerful single origin enhancements. Remove a lot of the dual origin and trainer stuff that just clutters my inventory and makes me go “but is this for me or no? Is this better than what I can buy or no? Where do I buy the better stuff?” I dunno it’s probably me not knowing enough too. But free, simple, powerful enhancements for the low levels, I don’t mind replacing every five levels, would be great.
  3. I don’t play often but I find everlasting to be the server for me, and afaik there are always more players on it than on reunion.
  4. I mean I happen to be a clinical psychologist IRL and it’s been what now, four and a half hours? since I last taught a patient about some of the ways emotion, mind and body are interconnected. But IRL credentials and facts aside. I linked you three subpages from your page, three pages further specifying the different ways the power you wanted to teach us about takes effect. They clearly relate to this power set.
  5. Some applicable subpages from your source: https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Empathic_Charging https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Empathic_Healing https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Emotion_Empowerment
  6. >Absorb Pain >Clear Mind >Adrenalin Boost >Fortitude >Recovery Aura These are all about emotions, man.

Yeah sound reasoning 🙂 Sometimes he goes twin blades too…

Oh but the exercise - the fun! - is trying to fit the characters into the molds as well as possible! In some cases archetypes can give us a meaningful representation through emphasizing what the flavor and core of a character is, in other cases the archetypes can represent the fighting style or powers rather well while maybe not covering the flavor entirely. I’d call nightcrawler the second case there. I just read a comic where he takes on a real brute of a monster through as he himself states it - his agility and ability to dodge (super reflexes?) and his martial arts. He didn’t even teleport more than once for fear of not landing in a safe spot in the dark forest. A clear scrapper in that sequence, as in many others. But of course CoH can’t do justice to his teleportation powers.

Also have rogue with dark melee but tone down the dark animations 😛

I’d really want professor X as a controller, maybe re-flavored time manipulation (he does himself flavor his mind powers as time powers at times 😉 ). I guess night crawler could go dual swords as well. Myself I really only played live during City of Heroes and City of Villains, not the last years. That’s where my feel for the game is for. So it really pains me to see heroes cast in villain archetypes 😉 I’d have e.g. beast as a tanker and wolverine as a scrapper. And professor X as a controller, as I said. That’s all feel though 😉
  11. What’s there to make me gather with other people and say “we play redside”? There’s RP and feel. Used to be there were ATs you could enjoy more or less than the blue ones. “I couldn’t play red because I just love controllers”. Redside ATs had less team play design. That was a cool identity. An important part of the feel. I miss that.
  12. Red side areas are harder to digest, less pleasing to be in. Steel canyon and atlas park are my favorites - they’re bright, easy on the eyes with clear visuals etc. Redside you start out in gloomy, dirty areas, and it continues that way, with fog and such. Blueside you make excursions into areas with these visuals to fight baddies and then return to the nicer areas. In addition to the stories, I’d say a big aesthetic drawing me towards redside would be the ATs. Similarly for blueside. When I make a character, I make it a hero AT blueside or villain AT red. And I don’t much like seeing villain ATs blueside. Because of this availability, I also don’t see redside as very attractive. There’s nothing unique to it apart from the stories and those I’ll experience as I suffer from lack of co-players and endure the lack of comfortable home zones.
  13. I think this is a piece of internet & gaming history to remember for a long time...
  14. Well played, an impressive achievement. The Homecoming group has always been steady and sincere, and it pays off 🙂
  15. I object to donuts being placed on the child menu, but I don't yet have a toon prepared to tackle the evil of poor child nutrition.
