  1. I always do this basically how Greycat describes it. Altho sometimes I click the glowie then head in. But that's all about what toon I'm on and What it can handle.

My surprise with this mission arc is how many don't do it at all. I can't tell you the number of people I have told and showed this mission arc to.

And there is even some who know about it but don't do it. Saying Aplha will unlock with Incarnate XP. Well yes it will, but that's XP that could be unlocking all the other slots.

I can't seem to make them understand this concept.

  2. Ok, my thinking on Martial was Reaction Time would help with the movement speed. I totally forgot that it was a weird click off to get boost. So sorry about that one.

Time only has 1 PBAoE which imo is skippable.

Time Lord is 20% recharge that is alwasy on. Chronos gives the same as well as Tohit and damage.
By having a "headstart" on recharge, you are able to put more sets/slots towards defense or whatever else you need.

Temporal Healing is always on and gives a Recovery boost.

I have a Time blaster and I skipped all the melee powers. I easily hit range defense soft cap.
As Fire is my Primary I could rely on it to do enough damage to not need any Damage from the Secondary.

Omega Maneuver is quite difficult to use on teams because people will just steamroll right through while you're patiently waiting for it to work.

I worried about that, I guess I will give it a try but I foresee this may get respecced out of.

2 powers I am having difficulty choosing between is Longfang and Suppression .....any advice one which one to pick?

  4. Been wanting to do a team crab Soldier for awhile and I think I finally have a build that I like. I have never played these before. Was hoping someone with more experience with the AT would give it a look over and tell me if I missing anything important. Or has any advice, thank you.

This is your fourth respec hero, if we can call you that.

Do you know how many times you died in that last Tasck Force?
    Well, do you?
No one knows because they lost count!

You are an embarrassment to this SG and a besmirchment on my good name.
You will be repecced as many times as it takes. And as I often as it takes to get it right.

    Now strip!

I have to much free time on my hands

I am not a fan of the roller coaster ride in between domination and non-domination

Frenzy is just a game changer for a Dom. It means playing as and staying a Villain but man is it worth it.

Personally I struggled with finding a Dom I could play , this is my 3rd try and I finally found one I like. One thing that made it click for me was doing a Range only Dom....I know they get some good melee attacks but I just couldn't make it work. Playstyle or whatever Range works best for me. So that may be something to look at.

Good luck hope you find one you like!

  7. And I very much agree with Nightmare Shaman , Wormhole is a situational power at best. If you team a lot it just will not be used much. The cast time is just to long.

Now I still have it in my build, but I rarely use it.

What I do use a lot if Crushing Fields and Gravity Distortion Field , these are your  AoE Immob and Hold and in my humble opinion should be well slotted since they are used so much.

Cast Crushing Fields and then putting Singularity right in the middle of the pack is a helluva lot of fun. It pulls them into a nice tight group to murder.

Edit to add, I slotted Superior Dominating Grasp: Recharge/Chance for Fiery Orb in Crushing Fields and I have had up to 4 Orbs out at once. It really shines in a AoE power. I imagine it would do well in Gravity Distortion Field as well.

  8. Didn't realize this thread was here.

I played on Pinnacle, mostly redside. My main guy was the first toon I made when I got CoX, an Elec/Elec/Elec Blaster named Plyx.

Because "all your end belong to me!"

Member of Nites of Darkness. Meet a lot of great people on Pinnacle, enjoyed every minute of it.

  9. I have been bad about the "must hit softcap" on all my toons. Till I was building my new Dom and I just couldn't do everything I wanted it to do with defense that high.

So it is maybe the only one I got with the defense in mid 30s. And really I can hardly tell it. I don't die any more often, and even when I do it's mostly my fault (chat death)

I will say (and I am not sure if this is the lower defense or the squishy AT) when things do go south ,they go south in a hurry.

  10. Sounds like she might like Dual Blades or Staff Fighting, they both have systems that (to oversimplify)  require you to do combos to bank points that you later spend on an attack.

  11. Agreed the SSA are great mission/arcs unfortunately not run as much mainly due to the TaskForce mechanic of locking the team. That seems to make people leery of joining for some reason. I am guessing the reward table at the end of the arc is why it does the TF team lock.

But also because they are not run as much, team leads do not know the best way to go about them. Well , that's just my opinion.

Actually gonna start trying to run Pandora's Box redside and see how it goes. Like I said I don't know it that well so a learning experience for me and everyone who joins me, lol
