  1. Again, as I mentioned.....back on live it could take 2 billion to complete a build.
  2. Improbable, not impossible. Zerg raids with one league requires planning, having everyone on the league know what they're doing, making sure everyone stocks up with Warburg Nukes and Shivans, and stuff like that. It's basically a whole lot of extra work to shave a few minutes off of a hami raid.
  3. We have influence sinks. Have you looked at the prices of Tier 3 and 4 incarnates? There's also the Super Packs on the market. I think you underestimate how much money is being taken back out of the economy on those Super Packs.
  4. This^^^^^ I'm still absolutely amazed at how CHEAP everything is on homecoming now. I remember when a full set of IO's could cost you over 100 mil. Now it's about 25 mil tops, and that's for the REALLY good ones. (Standard sets, not purps/ATO/Winters) I remember when a full build could easily cost you 2 billion influence. I just built a toon completely out the other day and including buying salvage for crafting I only dropped about 250 million. There's 2 reasons everything is so cheap now. The first is that we started fresh, WITH an economy from the beginning. CoH didn't have an economy till about Issue 10 originally. So you had tons of 50's with maxed out wallets and plenty of influence to burn.....so everything went for ridiculous prices. The second reason is farmers. Thanks to them loading up the AH with drops, it drives prices down. (Basic economics: more supply = less demand = lower prices)
  5. Yup. Only change is it's better to be early if you're worried about getting into Hive 1.
  6. Hami has never been impossible. For one....the encounter is balanced around SO's. It wasn't even built for IO'd out and Incarnated toons. So we're already far stronger than devs expected characters to be when they invented the raid. For another, the raid now with the 50 player cap exists exactly as it did on live. Every server on live had ZERO problems raiding Hamidon as he currently exists. And as we proved last night with 3 successful raids, Hami still goes down easy as long as you know what you're doing.
  7. Gonna go ahead and chime in here. Did we have fun with the Hive not having a cap? Sure, we had loads of fun! But you know what? I honestly had more fun doing the raid last night the old school way than I'd had in a long time. Running in and beating down Hami in 20 seconds wasn't fun anymore. And I really don't believe anyone can say it was. For further thoughts, read my post here:
  8. This could be gotten around simply by asking everyone to check their team windows to make sure they're on a team before zoning into the instance. Simply moving a person to a different team in a league and then back to their original spot fixes this bug.
  9. The funny part is the Hami encounter is still balanced to SO's. So it's not "hard" still anyway.
  10. For anyone trying it again tonight who might want a refresher on Hami strategy.....I wrote up a full guide for it a while back.
  11. For what it's worth, at least on Excelsior last night.....something happened that I didn't expect. All the freeloaders and leechers didn't even bother to show up. It was weird. We used to have a group of about 10 people all with the same SG name who would huddle off all by themselves, never join league, never interact with anyone......they weren't there last night. Nor any of the others. So, the leechers might, for the most part, stay away.
  12. Oh dear god.....will you read what I said??? I said if a group triple bloomed Hami and then promptly bailed. Not died. Not failed. INTENTIONALLY ALL LEFT THE GOO. Come on man....it's not rocket science.
  13. You missed my point about how they can watch you without you even knowing they are there. They can be completely invisible. If they watch a group triple bloom Hami and then immediately bail then it doesn't take a genius to judge intent.
  14. Ok so we just had our raids tonight. A few thoughts: Yes, there were some complainers after we finished the first raid. How they didn't think we should have to go back to doing it the old way and how it was "slow" now. And i don't fault them for thinking that way, especially for those who'd never done Hami's back on Live. For those who stayed through tho.....people's minds actually started changing. People mostly stopped complaining and a lot of people who were on voice (a lot hop on our Discord for voice chat during the raids) started saying they were having more fun than they'd had in quite a while doing Hami raids. While the sense of community is definitely increased from having more people in the zone at once, there was also a pretty big sense of it from everyone having to work together doing it this way as well. We completed 3 raids tonight successfully. Hive 2 attempted a raid but did not finish. I'm not sure we'll shoot for 3 every night, as each raid now takes 20+ minutes, but we'll likely still do at least 2 per night going forward. Once everyone gets trained up in the old school method, raids should start getting even faster (a lot of time was spent giving instructions) and we might get back to doing 3 consistently again.
  15. There's a difference between spawning hami and then intentionally bringing him to triple bloom status and a "failed raid". It would be up to the GM's to determine the difference. And they can watch you without you even knowing they are there.
  16. You know what....look at PaxArcana's recent post. If you don't understand it then, then just ignore me.
  17. What if a bunch of them get together to just prevent a league from being able to fully form? Granted we could just move to Hive 2 if that happens, but I foresee this being a problem.
  18. Or....while you're working that toon through it's progression, you can bring a different toon to the raids. And then when the first toon is done with alignment progression, you can switch.
  19. IO's contribute to toons OP'ness far more than Incarnates, IMO.
