Tequila is not good at downloading big files it super slow and often stalls close and restart or get all the file via the torrent. See install guide in my siggy.

Downloading at 8.0MB/s for me which means dl complete under 10mins. 30+ seeds. Be aware this a trackerless torrent. While the torrent is downloading the files be sure to read ALL my guide and look through the posts too all the way to the end of page 4.

Not familiar with ESET.... thing is white listing just Tequila will not be enough you need to whitelist/add an exception to the WHOLE install folder. I mean it's hard for us to help at this point as we are not actually there in your home to see and look around so beyond us saying something on your end is blocking not allowing you to connect there's not much we can do. A quick google search tells me eset is one of them huffy anti virus.....have you done what is in this link to exclude the whole install folder AND oher stuff mentioned? Read my install guide, and look on page 4 I have a post there that shows all the files you should have in your city of heroes folder and even how big they should be.

Can you change resolutions? I mean what do you mean exactly you can't click accept? It a little odd how it works in this game, from the log in screen, you make your changes set everything to what you want then you hit "accept" the button will click and briefly flash and that is it. When you click accept it doesn't close the "options window" or anything...you have to then go to the cancel button and click the nearly invisible little red x button just underneath.

Dunno at this point, its pretty straight forward to install especially on w7, I am on w7 too, as it not as wonky with read/write stuff as w10. Only thing I can think is for you to uninstall it all delete everything. Go in registry and delete everything to do with Tequila AND cryptic/coh see the guide. Undo anything you did to your firewall and anti virus. Reinstall from scratch using my magnet link in my guide, use the one in my thread further down the page near the bottom. I mean on w7 it should be pretty easy, firewall will open a window and ask you if you want to let it through...for your anti virus make an exception for the whole install folder. Download the new tequila.xml in the guide OP see attachment to replace the one in the torrent. Make sure you you run tequila.exe and its pointing at your install folder, revalidate for a quick update, make sure you do this while score is highlight. hit play and enjoy the game beyond that it's something on your end blocking the connection. Dunno do you have a firewall beyond what w7 has? Do you have some weird internet connection like that have at school that block shit? Have a look on page 4 of my guide, I have a picture there with all the files that should be in your "City of Heroes" folder.

Tequila is sucky at downloading big files, the downloads often stalls. Close and reopen Tequila OR just download the game files via the torrent. See my guide in my siggy.

Btw you dont start the game with score.exe. From your posts it sounds like you are trying to start via score.exe? You start the game with Tequila.exe and from the tequila launcher make sure SCORE is highlighted.

1. Anything at all. No play button. When I try to open or double click, nothing happens. Paragon Chat will prompt me to launch and I've just launched Icon and toyed with costumes okay. 2. No. :( 3. I don't understand this one. I see Score referenced in various places but how and where would I select it? Did you follow my guide? Look down at my siggy. Not sure how you went about downloading the game files as there a few ways to go about it. Essentially you have the game files i24 or i25 and have the home brew launchers of which there are a couple. Tequila (it's a launcher) is for windows and Island Rum is for Mac. Once you have downloaded the game files you stick them in a place like C:\Games\City of Heroes then you install Tequila (or Island Rum) right inside that City of Heroes folder. Now you should have the Tequila.exe and other tequila files and the game files all mixed together. (If your torrent included the Tequila.exe in it just run that to install and point tequila to the city of heroes folder via the options button of the tequila launcher) It should look like this: If instead of PLAY has ------ then for some reason it's not seeing the game files.... click option, go to install path and browse, choose city of heroes. Then hit revalidate, the launcher should update and read what's in your City of Heroes folder and play should light up. All this is done while SCORE is highlighted. You DO NOT start or launcher the game with Paragon or Titan highlighted. If you get errors the guide has lots of fixes in the OP for various things.

What doesn't it do exactly? the play button shows up and? Do you even get that far? You have score selected?

Thanks that exactly what I wanted to know! I knew this was a twink build and wouldn't be possible to do for me right now but I like having a "to aspire to" build to look at when leveling and this post answers the things I was wanting to know about. @Rylas thanks will keep what you posted in mind as I level. Also found this nice little guide which is good for newbs like me.
