I think it is more important to find a power set you like and enjoy playing.
Pre-32 Controllers are slow-ish to slow.
You'll get though it if your enjoying yourself.

It doesnt really matter if the people posting in LFG mean it or not. They are saying something exclusionary in public.

Flight is the travel power I use the most between alts.
IMO it should not be speed buffed.
Flight is the most flexible and most easily used on maps, in building, etc.
At high levels flight is pretty fast.
Ppl with teleport and super jump really dont have the same fine movement on missions.

Win 10 + Intel graphics is known to have issues with COH.
I've been running about 3-4 hours and am at 1388.7mb for reference. Win 10 Nvidia 1080ti.
There are some posts about how to work around the intel+Win 10 poor/no open-gl issue - I have not read them myself. You may want to check them out.

There was a SG on Virtue almost that bad.
Low rank members were expected to have all alts in and turn in all drops of value for the Sr members on the idea that in time they would be Sr and it would be their turn.
They would not play with controllers stating they were no good.
It was very cult like.

Getting to 3.5gb on a 32bit app would crash it.
What else is going on with your system?
OS, cpu, gpu and all the other particulars are important.

I am happy with default. Best for me rate. I like doing stories and the like.

I know at first there was a lot of bonus XP -- is that still going on? Is it possible to play at original XP rates if we are not already?

They only spawn for groups that dont have a Quantum model.
Forget which those are off the top of my head.

I've seen 5th and Council fighting in IP and SC. Not like back in issue 3 or whatever it was when the council overthrew the 5th.

I have played wow in the last year, as well as vanilla, BC, LK, and a smattering of the others.
WOW is just plain bigger and has more areas and things to do. Has much more quests and stories. Tonnes of raids and instances.
COH has (IMO) largely better stories and the vastly superior skill system. I hate the current wow skill/class system with almost as much energy as certain former COH Publishers. (If your reading this you can get some hate removed by playing nice with the COH community now).
Both are fine games. It is like comparing Apple Juice to power aid. You drink both - they have very different markets and reasons to drink them.

Could be an internet issue as you are being handed from one server to another.
I had some trouble getting into Outbreak when I first started playing that resolved itself.
Try a reboot, run a couple speed tests to make sure your ISP is behaving.

AVs are not all that hard to immob as a rule.
Whats the chance of Lightning Storm being un-nerfed I wonder?

Set windows scaling to 100% or override scaling in the score app and the launcher.

It isnt purely visual.
When exemplared or on an ORO mission the order of the enhancers matters.
Something to keep in mind when respecing.

The DA storylines are really good. Very DARK, in a Vertigo kind of way. I really reccomend them. Also bring a team for any fight involving an AV. Just saying....
Adam used to have no AV hold protection - has that changed?

I soloed to 50 on a controller in time to play a PB when they launched in issue 3.
Any class can solo. Some are just easier then others - well, no, solo as a controller is extremely easy -- some just take longer then others.
With all the balance changes, defender solo buffs etc, play what you want. Almost all content in the game - except task forces and raids are able to be soloed.

Unless it is a unique IO limited to one copy only the general rule is you may benefit from up to 5 of the same set. (for set bonuses - power bonuses like damage/accuracy etc no limit).

The thing is it is all perspective.
Very few bad guys are anything but the 'good guy' in their own perspective.
Take over the world because you want to stop war and suffer - and you would be an even handed fair ruler.
Your goal is to put down Longbow because secretly they murder people to keep them quite.
My Villains are either misunderstood, damaged, broken or otherwise in a place where they do what they do because...
Being the shining knight in glowing white armor has it's perks. Being the Batman-ish get the job done no matter what, or I'm not here to hurt ppl, I just want to earn big bucks...
Lots of ways to have fun with all 4 COH alignments.
