That's odd, I can use it on my thugs.

I use it on my Demons MM and it works fine too. 🤷‍♂️ Electric Affinity is really one of those unsung hero powers. People don't realize why their end keeps coming back, they're getting healed constantly and their attack rate increased, it's usually just "LOL, our dps is amazing!" when the team never wipes.

  2. Did one earlier and more than once I thought, "Man, if Snarky was here..." 😅

Team was a bunch of SG mates and a couple randos (me included) to fill the last couple spots. All characters were created within a couple weeks ago, had a looooot of AE badges and kept asking things like "how long does this take?" and "why are some of my powers not working?". Red flag #1.

We start cruising and doing ok, but the lack of experience outside sitting at the door of an AE map started to show. Still, nothing teaches better than a bunch of guys in robes and funny hats pummeling you senseless.

We get to that mission and if I hadn't yelled out the ambush, it would've rolled over us. "Where's they come from? Can they do that?" Red flag #2.

Finally, the save Atlas Park mission. The team leader (who I assume is the SG leader or most experienced one) did lead everyone around to the captive heroes. Along the way, some teammates would attack a random group of COT, die, hospital and run right back to that group. Red flag #3.

We rescue the final one and for one moment that seemed to be way longer than it was, I stopped and watched as people stormed the City Hall door. It was at that moment that someone dumped a basket full of red flags on me.

What ensued was Keystone Cops to the nth degree as people fell back from the door into, you guessed it, the groups that people usually clear before even glancing towards the door. We fought, we died, I cried into my pile of red flags. I let everyone know to be ready for the ambushes to come for us as soon as we zone back in.

Back in we go, the ambushes come, we manage to defeat them and head to the door...which is still locked. A runner. Yay. After quite a lot of searching and people dying as we fight other groups in the hopes of finding the runner, we luck out and it's time to go in.

Inside went far better than I was expecting, so I have to give props where due. We sniped the shadows and pulled until only 2 were left and we blitzed them. We finished at a little over an hour.

I hope it was a series of teachable moments for the AE kids and next time they won't make the same missteps.

  3. DId a Posi1 with my bubble defender one time and my clone popped their personal force field and dispersion field (which is totally what I do in a last man standing situation). Yeah. Whiff city. It happens. As others have said, we can literally be our own worst enemy on that mission.

Ugh...now I have Mark Hamil's Joker voice saying that over and over in my head.  Wish I'd never done so many bonus rounds in DC Universe Online.

Your post reads more like how do I gear up? than if the economy is broken.   I was wondering the same, as I just came back to CoH recently upon hearing the news about them getting the license.  Here is the information I found to be the most legitimately helpful.

Don't sweat enhancements until you reach level 22.  At that point, sell off your orange and yellow salvage/recipes.  Barring incredibly bad luck, you will by that point have enough to get 1 or 2 million influence.  Now go to the University, and craft level 25 IOs for all your powers.  These match the value of SO's and do not diminish as you level.  This strategy can last you all the way to level 50.  Once you hit 50, you should have alot more salvage and recipes to sell, do so, and replace all your 25 IOs with level 50 IOs, and you are well positioned to start working on getting sets and Incarnates.  All pretty easy to do with just IOs.

If you are more into using AE instead, then when you run those missions get AE tickets instead of regular rewards, and every 540 tickets, you can buy orange salvage, this is 300-350k per on the AH, and can easily fund your IOs as well.  Good luck.

Add in the merit rewards to enhancement boosters flip and you've learned well, Grasshopper! 👍

  6. I make a circuit of it with the end at badge 7 so I can go through the pottal to Recluses Victory and get my Oro portal. Get the Athletic/ Ninja run and Jump/Steam Jump Pack powers and I go 8, 2, 1, 3, hop up on City Hall for 6 then the globe for 5 then inside city hall to 4 then 7 and into RV for the badge/portal. Takes a couple minutes for 5 reward merits, 9 badges (11 counting the 10 badges badges you'll get),the Oro portal and the Long Distance portal with Atlas Park unlocked.

Why?  For all any of us know, those characters were all named gibberish or something like costumetest001 through costumetest400.

Do I need to circle the words in crayon?

  8. Every so often, I'll go through the stable and any character below 25 gets the "does this bring me joy" test, especially if they haven't been played in a long time. I, like many of us, will see someone so something, check their info for power selection and make one for myself. Sometimes they become a high level character, sometimes they never hit level 10. Those will get purged even when they have some banger names I can't believe I got.

My 50s? No, each one was a journey and I'm attached, even if I rarely play them. My main gets pulled out maybe a couple times a month, but I'm usually playing new projects when I'm on. That being said, I'd never freely offer the name up, even if a new player wanted it to start a new journey. I think that's where most are at: cooperation within reason.

Except whoever these people are. Screw them.

  9. Soooooooo, the wiki but you want to make money with it? Hate to burst your bubble; but Homecoming takes donations to keep the lights on and that's all. Pretty sure our shiny new license has that as a stipulation.  The Homecoming team spent years negotiating for it and I know new people are really excited about the game being "back" (insert LL Cool J joke), but let's gear down a few.

Not sure what the rules say about if you wanted to do up your own, not asking for money, site that links to the wiki. That's a question for one of the Hommecoming team or at least someone who wants to research the ToS in depth.
